청지기 담론의 재해석으로 오순절주의 공공신학 이해 (Understanding for Pentecostal Public Theology through Reinterpretation of Stewardship Discourse)

초록

우리 신학계는 한국교회의 사회적 책임을 공공신학의 관점에서 활발하게 논의하기 시작하였다. 공공신학의 관점에서 청지기 담론은 특별계시와 일반계시를 관통하는 개념이다. 청지기 담론은 교회 공동체의 사회적 책임을 하나님의 통치로서 구속적이고 계시적인 성령의 사역 안에서 종말론적인 청지기 사명으로 재정립될 수 있다. 구약성경에서 샬롬은 문화명령에 순종하는 인류 공동체의 공동선으로 재인식될 수 있다. 신약성경에서 평화의 왕’(눅 19:38)으로 오신 예수님이 ”화평케 하는 자“가 ”하나님의 아들로 일컫음을 받을 것“이라는 산상설교의 말씀을 이러한 맥락에서 재해석하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 오순절주의 공공신학의 관점에서 이를 근거로 신약성경의 샬롬을 종말론적 청지기 사명으로 모든 그리스도인에게 주어진 실천적 개념으로 규정하고자 하였다.
누가복음 4:17-19절에서 예수님은 이사야 61:1-2절의 말씀을 인용하시면서 샬롬을 위한 공생애를 시작하셨다. 현대 사회에서 교회 공동체가 공공영역에서 문화명령에 순종하기 위해서는 예수 그리스도의 영인 성령과 함께 사회적, 경제적, 정치적 불의와 억압에서 화평케 하는 사명을 감당하는 것이라고 말할 수 있다. 화평케 하는 사명은 현대 그리스도인들이 일(노동, 직업)을 통해 복음의 증인으로 성령의 사역에 동참하는 것이다. 기독교의 샬롬은 특별은혜와 일반은혜에서 함께 재정립된 청지기 사명을 교회 공동체가 실천함으로써 가시화된다. 화평케 하는 청지기 사명의 대표적 삶은 예수님이 설명한 선한 사마리아인의 이웃사랑일 것이다. 이러한 이웃사랑은 일반은혜 안으로 하나님 나라가 침투하는 통로가 된다.
화평케 하는 이웃사랑을 실천하는 청지기의 사명은 하나님의 아이콘으로서 인류에게 주어진 하나님의 선물이고 고귀한 인간다움의 덕성이다. 이러한 덕성은 삼위일체 하나님의 경륜 사역으로 맺어지는 신앙 성품이고 전인구원의 공동선을 가시화하는 샬롬을 위한 영적 자본이다. 교회 공동체의 영적 자본은 사회 공동체의 발전에 필요한 인적 자본이 되어 샬롬의 공동체를 위해 공동선을 실현하는 사회적 자본이 된다. 교회 공동체가 사회의 모든 영역에서 샬롬의 비전을 확산할 때 21세기 문화명령의 실천 과제인 생태계 파괴와 빈부격차의 심화는 치유되고 극복될 것이다.
오순절주의 공공신학은 성령과 협력함으로써 가시화되는 코이노니아와 디아코니아의 샬롬을 세상 속으로 흘러보내는 생활방식에 근거한다고 말할 수 있다. 이는 에스겔의 환상처럼 교회로부터 흘러나오는 새생명이 세속화되고 파편화되고 몰도덕적으로 변해가는 현대인들과 反성경적으로 변해가는 사회문화적 윤리를 치료할 것(겔 47:9)이라는 믿음을 가질 수 있다. 청지기 사명은 그리스도인들이 품격 있는 인생관을 소유함으로써 갈등과 경쟁과 반목으로 향하는 시민사회를 건강하게 이끌 새로운 시민의식을 제공하여 샬롬의 에토스를 창출할 것이다. 오순절주의 공공신학은 분명한 하나님 나라의 샬롬 사역으로서 시민사회를 선도하여 현대 사회를 치유하려는 기독교의 공공신학 발전에 분명히 일조할 것이다.

영어초록

Our theological community has begun to actively discuss the social responsibility of the Korean church from the perspective of public theology. From the perspective of public theology, stewardship discourse is a concept that penetrates special revelation and general revelation. The stewardship discourse can redefine the social responsibility of the church community into an eschatological stewardship mission within the redemptive and revelatory work of the Holy Spirit as the government of God. In the Old Testament, shalom can be reconceived as the common good of the human community that obeys cultural commands. In the New Testament, we attempted to reinterpret in this context the Sermon on the Mount that Jesus who came as the ‘Prince of Peace’(Luke 19:38) preached “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” Based on this from the perspective of Pentecostal public theology, this study defined shalom in the New Testament as a practical concept given to all Christians as an eschatological stewardship mission.
In Luke 4:17-19, Jesus began his public ministry for shalom by quoting Isaiah 61:1-2. In modern society, it can be said that in order for the church community to obey cultural commands in the public sphere, it must carry out the mission of making peace in social, economic, and political injustice and oppression together with the Holy Spirit, the spirit of Jesus Christ. The mission of peacemaking is for modern Christians to participate in the work of the Holy Spirit as witnesses of the Gospel through work (labor, occupation). Shalom in Christianity is made visible by the church community practicing the stewardship mission redefined from special grace and common grace. A representative life of the mission of peacemaking stewardship would be the neighborly love of the Good Samaritan described by Jesus. This kind of neighborly love becomes a channel through which the Kingdom of God penetrates into common grace.
The mission of stewardship which practices peace-making love for neighbors is God's gift to mankind as an icon of God and a noble virtue of humanity. This virtue is a character of faith brought about by the economy of the Trinity in the work of soteriology and is spiritual capital for shalom that visualizes the common good of the whole salvation. The spiritual capital of the church community becomes human capital necessary for the development of the social community, and becomes social capital that realizes the common good for the community of Shalom. When the church community spreads the vision of shalom in all areas of society, the destruction of the ecosystem and the deepening gap between the rich and the poor, which are the tasks of implementing the 21st century cultural mandate, will be healed and overcome.
Pentecostal public theology can be established based on a lifestyle that sends the shalom of koinonia and diakonia, made visible through cooperation with the Holy Spirit, into the world. This allows us to have faith that, like Ezekiel's vision (Ezekiel 47:9), the new life flowing from the church will cure modern people who are becoming secularized, fragmented, and immoral, and the social cultural ethics that are becoming anti-biblical. The stewardship mission will create an ethos of shalom by providing Christians with a dignified outlook on life and a new civic consciousness that will lead a healthy civil society from conflict, competition, and hostility. Pentecostal public theology will clearly contribute to the development of Christian public theology that seeks to heal modern society by leading civil society as a clarified ministry of shalom in the kingdom of God.
