초록

The subway is the transportation that the foreigners who visit Seoul commonly use. The subway can be considered as an essential element which is responsible for helping foreign tourists start and end traveling as it is highly accessible to the major tourist spots in Seoul. Also, around the subway stations are cultural, economic, and commercial districts formed. Therefore, we would like to make a plan to visually provide effective tourist information regarding them.
This research suggests the plan to classify information in order to easily obtain the tourist information about Seoul, and effectively visualize the tourist information using the subway map. The purpose of doing this is to get foreigners to have more friendly and positive impression about Seoul by providing the tourist information about Seoul more accurately and effectively.
For this, this research presents the subway map for tourists from which foreigners can obtain the tourist information easily. The major feature of the route map is that the famous tourist spots in Seoul are visualized. In addition, we suggest that separate subway maps should be prepared according to different seasons and travel types, in order to provide various types of tourist information. Consequently, we expect that our tourism industry would develop much further when the subway maps are available, which can provide foreigners with various tourist information linked with the subway stations.
