성인 학습자의 경력탐색 측면에서의 근거리학습지원처 문화예술교육 프로그램 참여 의미 (Meaning of participation in the cultural arts education program of the short-distance learning support center in terms of career exploration of Adult learners)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 서울시평생교육진흥원의 근거리학습지원처인 동네배움터 사업을 중심으로 기존의 정량적으로 수치화되었던 성인 학습자의 참여 의미를 정성적으로 탐색해 봄으로써 문화예술교육 프로그램의 참여 경험이 향후 그들의 경력전환에 어떠한 의미와 영향을 미치는지 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 문헌 조사로 성인학습자의 평생학습 프로그램 참여 현황과 의미를 살펴보고, 문화 기술지 기법으로 해당 교육과정에 참여한 성인 학습자 3명과 동네배움터 운영자 및 평생 교육사 등 이해관계자 2명을 대상으로 심층면담하였다. 그 결과, 총 4개의 상위 범주와 12개의 중위 범주, 23개의 하위 범주가 도출되며 다음과 같이 정리될 수 있었다. 첫째, 근거리학습지원처인 동네배움터를 통해 평생학습 프로그램에 참여한 성인 학습자들은 배움에 대한 욕구가 크고 프로그램 만족도가 높으며 평생학습을 삶의 일부로 생각하였다. 또한 동네배움터 교육과정을 통해 문화예술 분야로 배움의 영역을 확장하여 현직과 연계하는 방법을 찾아보면서 향후 주체적으로 살아갈 자신의 삶을기대하는 모습을 보였다. 둘째, 성인 학습자들이 참여한 문화예술 분야의 평생교육 프로그램이 경력탐색의 기능을 할 수 있으며, 문화예술교육 프로그램 참여에서 장애 요인으로 인식되었던 비용, 시간, 거리 등의 문제를근거리학습지원처인 동네배움터에서 해소할 수 있다는 사실을 확인하였다. 한편, 동네배움터의 핵심과제인 학습실천 프로젝트의 운영이 어려운 상황이므로“지역사회형 문화예술 동네배움터 CoP”를 도입하여 문화예술 분야 학습공동체를 통해 개인의 삶의 질 향상과 사회 문제를 문화예술로 해결할 수 있기를 기대한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to qualitatively explore the meaning of Adult learners' participation, which was previously quantitatively quantified, with a focus on the Neighborhood learning center project, a short-distance learning support center of the Seoul Lifelong Education Promotion Agency, so that the ex- perience of participating in cultural arts education programs can be used in their future careers. The goal is to find out what meaning and impact it has on conversion. To this end, we examined the status and meaning of Adult learners' participation in lifelong learning programs through a literature review, and conducted in-depth interviews with three adult learners who participated in the curriculum and two stake- holders, including a neighborhood learning center operator and a lifelong educator, using the cultural de- scription technique. As a result, a total of 4 high-level categories, 12 middle-level categories, and 23 low-level categories were derived and could be organized as follows. First, Adult learners who participated in the lifelong learning program through short-distance learning support center had a great desire for learning, were highly satisfied with the program, and considered lifelong learning as a part of life. In ad- dition, through the short-distance learning support center curriculum, they expanded their scope of learn- ing into the field of culture and arts and looked for ways to link it with their current jobs, showing that they looked forward to living their lives independently in the future. Second, lifelong education programs in the field of culture and arts in which adult learners participate can function as career exploration, and problems such as cost, time, and distance, which were recognized as obstacles to participation in culture and arts education programs, can be resolved through short-distance learning support center, which are local learning support centers. It was confirmed that it could be resolved. Meanwhile, since it is difficult to operate the learning practice project, which is the core task of short-distance learning support center, the “Community-type Culture and Arts short-distance learning support center CoP” was introduced to im- prove the quality of life of individuals and solve social problems through culture and arts through a learn- ing community in the field of culture and arts. I hope we can solve it.
