커뮤니케이션을 위한 아동그림책의 시각표현 연구 -시각 재료기법과 장면구성 표현방법을 중심으로- (A Study on Visual Expression of Children’s Picture Book for Communication -Focused on Expression Method of Visual Materials Techniques and Scene Composition-)

초록

출판문화콘텐츠 영역이 확장 되면서 다양한 비주얼언어의 활용으로 콘텐츠 기획의 범위 또한 확장되고있다. 다양한 비주얼언어의 효과적인 정보 전달과 스토리 전달뿐만 아니라 창의적인 콘텐츠 기획과 예술적 표현으로 그 의미는 확대되고 있다. 현대 출판콘텐츠를 대표하는 그림책의 영역 확장은 창의적 표현법으로 다양한 스토리텔링을 요구한다. 그림책은 스토리만을 강조하는 형태에서 다양한 스토리텔링의 예술적창의적 표현방법으로 변화하고 있다. 이에 다양한 스토리텔링 표현방법 수단으로 그림책의 시각표현에 관한 체계적인 연구가 필요하다.
따라서 본 연구는 다양한 스토리텔링을 시도하는아동그림책 영역을 이해하고 그림책의 시각표현 방법을 분석함으로서 향후 그림책을 통한 시각적 의미전달의 범위를 확장하기 위해 연구 되었다. 기호학에서 기호의 의미를 적용하여 시각표현을 해석하고 비언어적 기호를 이용한 그림책 커뮤니케이션 방법이 연구되었다.
연구방법은 현재 그림책 영역을 이해하고 시각 표현방법을 연구하기 위해 국제 아동도서전과 페스티발에서 리서치를 진행하였고 국내외 출판콘텐츠 관력 기관의 조사 자료와 네트워크 검색, 단행본, 표본조사로 진행되어졌다. 또한 관련 연구 영역의 연구논문, 도서출판물 등 문헌조사와 사례분석 연구가 진행되어졌다.
본 연구의 범위는 스토리텔링의 함축적인 표현 방법과 기능적, 형태적인 표현 방법을 분석하여 기호학의 소쉬르와 롤랑 바르트의 의해 연구된 외연적 의미(meaning of denotation)와 내포적 의미(meaning of connotation)를 적용시켰다. 또한 그림책의 다양한 장면 시각표현과 스토리텔링의 연속성을 표현하는 그림책의 커뮤니케이션 방법을 이해하기위해 대표적인 시각표현 수단인 재료기법과 장면구성 표현 분석으로연구되었다.
본 연구는 다양한 사례 분석을 통해 여러 관점에서그림책 시각표현을 통한 커뮤니케이션을 재조명했다.
그림책 시각요소를 이용한 창의적 예술표현 측면에서다양한 표현방법이 연구되어진다. 그 결과 독자인 아동과 교감하는 커뮤니케이션 방법의 다양성을 이해하고 앞으로 예술적의미가 확장되는 아동그림책의 시각표현 방법과 범위를 전망해 본다.

영어초록

As publication cultural contents area expanding,the area of contents planning is also expanding by utilizing various visual languages. Expanding the area of picture books representing modern publication contents require various storytelling with visual or in form of creative expression, and extend the meaning of interaction of visual communication with readers. Thus systematic studies on the visual expression of picture books as a means of diverse storytelling expressions are warranted.
Therefore, this article aims has been conducted to expand the range of delivering artistic meanings through picture books leading the field of children’s culture contents in the future by understanding the field of picture books attempting diversified storytelling and analyzing visual expression methods of the picture books. In symbiotics, a picture book communication method using non-language symbols has been studied where visual expressions are interpreted applying the meaning of symbols.
The main method of this article involved research at an international exhibition of children’s books and a festival to understand the current field of picture books and to study visual expression methods, together with search for survey materials of domestic and foreign organizations related to publication contents, examination of monographs and samples. Also, this article has encompassed a literature survey including research papers on the related study fields, book publications and case analyses as well.
The scope of this article involves an analysis of the implicative expression method and functional,formative expression method of storytelling accompanied by application of the meaning of denotation and the meaning of connotation as studied by Saussure and Roland Barthes in the semiotics field. Also,communication method of picture book expressing visually various scenes in two dimensional plane space such as picture book and continuity of storytelling will be studied and understood.
As the result, this article reanalyzes visual communications using visual expressions from a diversity of viewpoints through various case analyses.
Various expression methods in the aspect of creative artistic expression with visual expressions and elements of synaesthetic are studied. Thus the expression methods and the scope of picture book such that the communication methods interacting with children readers may be understood with expansion of their artistic meanings are envisioned.
