판소리 장단에 따른 가사 붙임의 유형과 활용 양상 －정권진 창 심청가를 중심으로－ (Types of Adding Lyrics and Aspects of Utilization in Accordance of Pansori Jangdan -Centering on Simchungga sung by Jung, Kwonjin-)

초록

본고는 판소리의 장단별 가사 붙임의 유형과 활용 양상을 살펴보기 위해 정권진 창 심청가를 대상으로 기본단위의 붙임 유형과 가사 붙임에 따른 리듬구조라는 두 가지 측면을 분석해 보았다. 이에 따라 도출된 결과를 정리해보면 다음과 같다.
먼저, 기본단위의 붙임 유형을 분석한 결과 모든 장단이 대마디대장단형과 기본단위 엇붙임형을 기본적으로 사용하였다. 그러나 박자 구조 및 속도에 따라 일정한 차이를 보였다. 구체적으로 진양조에는 대마디대장단형(1~3음보형) ․ 기본단위 엇붙임형, 중모리에는 대마디대장단형(2~4음보형)․ 기본단위 엇붙임형 ․ 기층단위 엇붙임형, 중중모리에는 대마디대장단형(1~4음보형) ․ 기본단위 엇붙임형 ․ 기층단위 엇붙임형(기본형, 뻗음형), 자진모리에는 대마디대장단형(1~4음보형) ․ 기본단위 엇붙임형 ․ 기층단위 엇붙임형(기본형, 뻗음형의 기본 ․ 확장 ․ 혼합형)이 사용되었다. 결국 박자구조가 커지고 속도가 빨라짐에 따라 대마디대장단형은 1음보형~4음보형으로 폭이 넓어지고, 엇붙임형의 경우에는 기층단위 엇붙임의 세부 유형이 다양화되는 것과 동시에 사용 비중도 크게 증가한 것으로 나타났다.
다음으로 가사 붙임에 의한 리듬구조는 6박 계통의 진양조와 12(소)박 계통의 중모리ㆍ중중모리ㆍ자진모리가 차이를 보였다. 중모리 이하 장단들은 반 장단을 기준으로 하는 유형과 장단의 강세를 기준으로 하는 두 가지 유형이 있는 것에 비해 진양조는 반 장단을 기준으로 하는 리듬구조가 발견되지 않는 대신 ‘2+4’구조가 사용되었다. 한편, 중모리 이하 장단들에서 반 장단을 기준으로 하는 유형은 대마디대장단형에 의해 형성되는 것으로, 2음보의 ‘6+6’구조가 기본형이다. 그리고 음보가 확대될 경우 앞쪽과 뒤쪽으로 세분화된다. 이에 비해 장단의 강세를 기준으로 하는 유형은 주로 기본단위 엇붙임형에 의해 형성된다. 즉, 2음보의 ‘4+2’구조(진양조) 혹은 ‘8+4’구조(중모리 이하)가 기본형이며, 3음보로 확대될 경우 앞쪽이 세분화된다. 특히 엇붙임 시에는 진양조의 제5박, 중모리 이하 장단들에서는 9(소)박이 기점이 된다.

영어초록

This article examined the types of adding lyrics and aspects of utilization with each Jangdan as objects because various Jangdan possess uniqueness discriminating feature namely, stratum constitution and speed. Three major aspects were examined: the types of adding basic paragraph; the aspects of configuration of metre; and finally the rhythm organization in terms of adding lyrics. The following are the results.
In Jinyangjo, 1 metre, 2 metre, 3 metre Damadidaejangdan and 2・3 metre basic measure Utbutim type are used according to the way how the basic paragraph of lyric is combined. In the configuration of metre, 1 metre~3 metre are arranged while 2 metre is used mainly; in accordance of unfolding editorials, it is arranged in gradual expansion and reduction of ‘1 metre→2 metre→3 metre→2 metre→(1metre)’. The rhythm organization formed by adding lyrics, 1 metre type is '6' beat constitution, 2 metre is '2 beat + 4 beat', '4 beat + 2 beat' constitution, 3 metre type is '2 beat + 2 beat + 2 beat' constitution.
Jungmori is used in 2 metre, 3 metre, 4 metre Damadidaejangdang, 3 metre basic Utbutim type, basic type of Utbutim. In the aspect of configuration of metre, 2 metre~4 metre is arranged, and as three metre are used in about the same proportion, the arrangement of lyrics show irregular aspect. The rhythm organization by adding lyrics is 2 metre type '6 beat + 6 beat', '8 beat + 4 beat' style, 3 metre type '(3 beat + 3 beat) + 6 beat', '4 beat + 4 beat + 4 beat', and finally, 4 metre type '(2 beat + 4 beat, 3 beat + 3 beat) + (2 beat + 4 beat, 3 beat + 3 beat) type.
In Jungjungmri, 1 metre, 2 metre, 3 metre, 4 metre Damadidaejangdang, 3 metre basic Utbutim type, basic type of Utbutim and reaching type are used. In the aspect of metre configuration, 1 metre~4 metre are arranged with 2 metre used more often. Therefore, the configuration of metre is arranged in accordance of unfolding of editorials. In the rhythm organization by adding lyrics, 1 metre type '12 small beat' organization, 2 metre type '6 small beat + 6 small beat'・'8 small beat + 4 small beat' organization, 3 metre type '(3 small beat + 3 small beat, 2 small beat + 4 small beat) + 6 small beat'・'6 small beat + (3 small beat + 3 small beat)'・'4 small beat + 4 small beat + 4 small beat' organization.
In Jajinmori, 1 metre, 2 metre, 3 metre type, 3 metre Damadidaejangdang, 3 metre basic measure Utbutim type, and basic measure Utbutim and reaching type are used. Especially, the reaching type is diversified into basic type, expanded type, and combined type. In the aspects of metre configuration, 1 metre~4 metre are arranged with 2 metre used more often. However, in accordance of the atmosphere of the lyric and format of speaker and speech, the arrangement of metre is divided into regular type and irregular type. in the rhythm organization by adding lyrics, 1 metre type is '12 small beat' organization, 2 metre type '6 small beat + 6 small beat'・'4 small beat + 8 small beat'・'8 small beat + 4 small beat', 3 metre type '(3 small beat + 3 small beat) + 6 small beat'・'6 small beat + (3 small beat + 3 small beat)'・'4 small beat + 4 small beat + 4 small beat' organization, 4 metre type '(3 small beat + 3 small beat) + (3 small beat + 3 small beat) type.
