『동의수세보원』의 생기(生氣)와 한방꽃차 (Vital energy(生氣) of Donguisusebowon and traditional Korean Flower Teas)

초록

본 논문에서는 「장부론」에서 밝힌 인체의 생리적 생명성과 직접 관련된 수곡(水穀, 음식)의 온기(溫氣)·열기(熱氣)·량기(凉氣)·한기(寒氣)의 기(氣)작용을 중심으로 한방꽃차의 약성과 생기(生氣)를 고찰하였다.
사상의학의 생리와 병리에서는 기 흐름이 가장 중요한 문제인데, 「장부론」은수곡의 열기·온기·량기·한기의 생성원리를 통해 기의 작용을 밝히고 있다.
수곡의 온기는 폐·위완의 상초에 흐르는 기이고, 열기는 비·위의 중상초에흐르는 기이고, 량기는 간·소장의 중하초에 흐르는 기이고, 한기는 신·대장의 하초에 흐르는 기이다.
이제마는 생기(生氣)를 통해 인간의 형이상의 마음작용을 인체의 생리적 작용으로 연결시켜 인체의 생명성을 논했고, 『동무유고』에서는 자신이 임상활동을 통해 경험한 약재(藥材)의 약성을 사상인별로 구분하여, 몇 가지 병증에 대한 이론과사상인별 치료 원칙 및 치료 경험을 담고 있다.
사상인별 대표 꽃차와 생기를 살펴보면, 태음인의 칡꽃차는 수곡량기(水穀凉 氣), 국화차는 수곡온기(水穀溫氣), 연꽃차는 수곡열기(水穀熱氣), 매화차는 수곡온기를 돕는 꽃차이고, 소음인의 인삼차와 청피차, 생강차는 모두 수곡열기를 돕는 꽃차임을 알 수 있다.
소양인의 조릿대차, 녹차, 산수유꽃차는 수곡한기(水穀寒氣)를 돕는 꽃차이고, 태양인의 모과차는 수곡량기, 감잎차는 수곡온기에 원기를 더해주는 꽃차임을 알수 있다.
본 논문은 우리의 전통 의학사상인 사상의학을 바탕으로 사상체질별 기작용에대한 분야를 새롭게 검토하는 계기가 되며, 「장부론」에서 밝힌 기작용과 『동무유고』에서 밝힌 한방 꽃차의 약성을 바탕으로 하여 마음과 몸 기운에 적용함으로써사상체질에 맞는 꽃차를 음다(飮茶)할 수 있는 실용적 연구이다.

영어초록

In this paper, we have examined the therapeutic properties and vital energy(生 氣) of traditional Korean Flower Teas with a focus on the actions of warmth energy, heat energy, coolness energy, and coldness energy, which are directly related to the physiological vitality of the human body, as elucidated in the 「Jangbulon」.
In the context of Sasang constitutional medicine, the flow of vital energy(Qi) is considered the most critical issue in both physiological and pathological aspects. The 「Jangbulon」 elucidates the principles of generating warmth energy, heat energy, coolness energy, and coldness energy the flow of vital energy.
The warmth energy of the digestive system flows in the upper intestine of the lungs and neck site, heat energy flows in the middle and upper intestine of the spleen and stomach, coolness energy flows in the lower intestine of the liver and small intestine, and coldness energy is explained to flow in the lower intestine of the kidneys and large intestine.
Leejema connected human metaphysical mental actions to physiological actions in the body through vital energy and discussed the vitality of the human body. In Dongmuyugo he categorized the therapeutic properties of medicinal herbs based on Sasang constitutions and shared theories, treatment principles, and treatment experiences for various medical conditions that he gained through clinical practice.
Examining representative flower teas for each Sasang type and vital energy, we find that: For Taeeumin, the chicory flower tea imparts coolness energy, the chrysanthemum tea provides warmth energy, the lotus flower tea embodies heat energy, and the plum blossom tea delivers warmth energy.
For Soeumin, ginseng tea, angelica tea, and ginger tea represent heat energy.
For Soyangin, houttuynia tea, green tea, and Cornus officinalis flower tea bestow coldness energy. For Taeyangin, the quince tea endows coolness energy, while the persimmon leaf tea provides warmth energy, enhancing energy circulation accordingly.
This paper offers a fresh perspective on the field of vital energy actions in Sasang constitutional medicine, leveraging the insights from the 「Jangbulon」 and the therapeutic attributes of traditional Korean Flower Teas as outlined in the Dongmuyugo It aims to provide a practical approach to selecting flower teas tailored to one’s Sasang constitution to harmonize mind and body vitality.
