해방 감각과 기억의 발화 양상 - 해방1주년기념시집 『거류』를 중심으로 (The Utterance Aspect of Sense and Memory of Liberation: focusing on “The Giant Stream”, anthology for the 1st anniversary commemoration of Liberation)

초록

본 연구는 해방1주년 기념시집 『거류』가 해방을 기억하고 기록할 뿐만 아니라, 해방 이후의 의미를 내포하는 과정에 주목하였다. 기념시집은 북예총 상임위원이자 『거류』의 편집자였던 한설야가 지닌 욕망과 무의식이 반영되었다. 서울중심의 중앙문단에서 소외되었던 작가와 재북작가를 중심으로 선정함으로써 문단 재편을 꾀하고 있기 때문이다. 북예총과 소군정 관련 인사가 비슷한 비율로 참여한다는 점도 특기할 만하다. 『거류』는 북예총과 북문예총 사이, 북조선임시인민위원회와 북조선인민위원회 사이, 조선로동당 북조선분국과 북조선로동당 사이에서 출간되었다. 해방1주년은 급격한 정세 변화와 문화적 지형 변화가 이루어지던 때였으며, 동시에 민주개혁의 성과가 가시적인 때였다. 이 사이에서 시집이 기억하는 해방은 역사적 기억의 현장성을 선명히 보여주며 격정적 감정을 호출하였다. 해방 이후는 해방 전과의 명암대비로 나타난다. 해방의 주역으로 소련과 김일성이 각각 빛의 상징투쟁을 벌이긴 하나, 해방 후를 지배하는 태양의 알레고리는 새 역사와 김일성을 중첩하는 경우가 많아 북한 문학의 수사적 전통의 기원이 이미 형성되고 있음을 보여주었다. 『거류』는 흥분된 어조로 해방의 감격을 재현하는 동시에 민주개혁 이후의 성과는 평양중심이라는 공간적 전회로 표출되었다. 서울/남쪽과 평양/북쪽의 대비, 민중/인민의 대비는 해방 후 새로운 문화와 국가 건설의 주도적 공간과 주체를 명징하게 보여준다. 해방, 김일성, 항일투쟁, 건국의 핵심어들은 해방의 기원을 밝히려는 시도가 정치적 상상력과 문학의 연동으로 ‘해방 기념’의 기치 아래 놓이게 되었다.

영어초록

This study focused not only on the memory and recording of Liberation of “The Giant Stream”, anthology for the 1st anni versary commemoration of Liberation, but also the process of post-Liberation. The memorial poetry reflected the desire and unconsciousness of Han Sorya, the chairman of the North Korean Arts Alliance and editor of “The Giant Stream”. The editor Han Sorya is presumed to have intended the reorganization of the literary circles by focusing on writers dwelling in North Korea and writers who were alienated from the central literary circles of Seoul. Anthology was attended by a similar proportion of the writers working in the North Korean Arts Alliance and the pro-Soviet writers working in the Chosun Newspaper. This was expressed respectively in terms of Kim Il Sung and the Soviet Union as the main actors of liberation. The commemorative anthology “The Giant Stream” was published in the middle of the transition from before the two organizations to the following: from the North Korean Arts Alliance to the General Federation of North Korean Literature and Art, from North Korean Provisional People's Committee to the North Korea People's Committee, and from the North Korea Branch of the Workers' Party of Korea to the Workers Party of North Korea. The first anniversary of Liberation was the time when rapid changes in the situation and cultural landscapes were taking place, and at the same time, the results of democratic reforms were visible. Among them, the liberation that the poetry memorizes remembered the field of historical memory and expressed emotional emotion. In terms of poetic expression, before and after liberation, it appeared as bright contrast such as light and darkness. At this time, the Soviet Union and Kim Il Sung were engaged in a symbolic struggle to become the protagonist of liberation. But the allegory of the ruling after Liberation was often overlaid with a new history and Kim Il Sung, showing that the origin of the rhetorical tradition of North Korean literature had already been formed. "The Giant Stream" revived the emotion of Liberation in an excited tone, while the result after democratic reform was expressed as a spatial turn called Pyongyang center. The contrasts, between Seoul/South and Pyongyang/North but also between the general public and the people, have shown the leading space and subject of new culture and nation building after liberation. The key words of Liberation, Kim Il Sung, anti-Japanese struggle, and founding the state came under the banner of ‘Liberation commemoration’ with the interlocking of political imagination and literature.
