초록

The discovery of the first Edition of Botong Changgajip by In-Sik Kim enables us more detail survey about publishing time and its circumstances.
The comparisons between several publishing states of Botong Changgajip and other contemporary song books makes us think about the ripple effect of Botong Changgajip. It is worthy of notice that the first Edition of Botong Changgajip (1911) by In-Sik Kim was continuously reprinted in the 1920s and largely purchased under the permission of The Japanese Government-General of Chosun.
An example of far-reaching powers of Botong Changgajip from Kyungsung to Manchuria shows Choishin Changgajip (1914) of Kwangsung Middle School, an ethnic school in Manchuria, which contains 21 songs from total 31 songs of Botong Changgajip and is later forbidden by The Japanese Government-General of Chosun.
In-depth studies for other composers before and after In-Sik Kim and for original modern Korean music materials will give us detailed explanation about spreading-phenomenon of Botong Changgajip and the speciality by composition of In-Sik Kim.
