장애인스포츠 인권교육 참여 경험에 관한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on the Experience of Participating in Human Rights Education for Disabled Sports)

초록

이 연구는 장애인스포츠 인권교육 참여 경험에 대해 이해하고 탐색하며 장애인스포츠 현장에서의 인권교육의 방향성을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위한 주요 연구 방법은 장애인스포츠 인권교육 실행 및 참여자 면담 방법이다. 연구 참여자는 총 8명으로, 장애인스포츠 구성원인 장애 당사자 그룹 4명, 종사자 그룹 4명이다. 연구 참여자를 대상으로 반구조화 질문지를 활용해 면담을 진행하고 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구 수행을 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 참여자들은 기존 장애인스포츠 인권교육과 달리 8개의 주제로 진행된 교육에 대해 주제와 내용의 다양성을 낯섦과 반가움으로 느끼고 인권의 재해석을 하고 있었다. 둘째, 기존 교육에 대해 그냥 하는 교육이라는 인식과 달리 필요한 교육으로 인식했다. 셋째, 재난안전이라는 처음 들어보는 주제에 대해 생존의 인권과 평범한 일상인 인권의 소중함을 인식했다. 넷째, 유사한 장애 유형과 종목의 참여자들이 함께 듣는 교육의 동질성과 역동성 그리고 다른 이들에 대한 이해와 공감을 필요성을 인식했다. 다섯째, 교육 시간이 짧다고 느낄 만큼 수동적인 자신이 능동적으로 교육에 참여하는 자신의 모습과 가르치는 역할이 아닌 등대 같은 강사의 역할에 대해 강조했다. 여섯째, 내 삶의 주체로서 인권을 경험하며 타자화의 모습에서 주류화로 변화하는 자신을 발견했다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to understand and explore the experience of participating in human rights education in sports for the disabled and to suggest the direction of human rights education in sports for the disabled. The main research method to achieve the research purpose is the implementation of human rights education in disabled sports and the interview method of participants. A total of eight participants were involved in the study, including four disabled sports members and four workers. Semi-structured questionnaires were used to conduct interviews with the participants, and data was collected and analyzed. The conclusions obtained through the study are as follows. First, unlike existing human rights education in disabled sports, the participants felt the diversity of topics and contents in the education conducted under eight topics with both unfamiliarity and joy and reinterpreted human rights. Second, unlike the perception of existing education as just education, they recognized it as necessary education. Third, they recognized the importance of human rights to survival and human rights in ordinary daily life in the topic of disaster safety, which they had never heard of before. Fourth, they recognized the homogeneity and dynamism of education that participants with similar disability types and disciplines listened to together, and the need for understanding and empathy for others. Fifth, they emphasized the role of the instructor as a lighthouse, not a teacher, as they watched themselves actively participating in education, which had been passive.
