시조의 소설 <삼국지연의> 수용 양상 연구 (A Study on the Aspect of Accommodation of into the Sijo(時調))

초록

시조는 소설 <삼국지>의 내용을 수용하여 온전하게 한 편의 작품을 이루게 된다. 이 경우 소설 <삼국지>의 내용은 촉(蜀)의 인물들을 중심으로, 그 중에서도특히 유비와 제갈공명, 그리고 관우와 조자룡의 이야기를 중심으로 수용되고 있었음을 알 수 있다. 특히 시조는 소설 <삼국지>의 내용을 전체로 이해하는 것이 아니라 촉(蜀)의 인물들의 일화를 중심으로 수용한다.
평시조가 소설 <삼국지>의 내용을 수용하는 양상은 정서 표현과 신념 표출,그리고 사실 전달이라는 세 가지 양상이 나타난다. 이 경우 일반적으로 정서 표현은 주관적 정서를 바탕으로 하게 되고, 신념 표출은 단순화된 사실의 제시를 바탕으로 하게 되며, 사실 전달은 객관적 사실의 나열을 바탕으로 이루어지게 된다.
그런데 평시조는 정서 표현과 신념 표출이라는 수용 양상이 보다 많은 작품에서나타나고, 사실 전달이라는 수용 양상은 드물게 나타난다. 따라서 이러한 세 가지수용 양상 중에서 주관적 정서 표현과 신념 표출이라는 수용 양상은 평시조의 장르 성격과 부합하는 수용 양상이고, 객관적 사실의 나열을 바탕으로 하는 사실의전달이라는 수용 양상은 평시조의 장르 성격과 부합하는 수용 양상이라고 보기어렵다고 하겠다.
사설시조 역시 소설 <삼국지>의 내용을 수용하는 양상은 평시조와 마찬가지로정서 표현과 신념 표출, 그리고 사실 전달이라는 세 가지 양상이 나타난다. 그리고 사설시조에서도 정서 표현은 주관적 정서를 바탕으로 하게 되고, 신념 표출은구체적 사실의 제시를 바탕으로 하게 되며, 사실 전달은 객관적 사실의 나열을 바탕으로 이루어지게 된다. 그런데 사설시조에서는 정서를 표현하는 수용 양상은 별로 나타나지 않는다. 이는 정서 표현이라는 특성이 사설시조의 장르 성격과 부합하지 않는 성격이기 때문일 것이다. 이에 비해 신념 표출과 사실 전달이라는 수용양상은 보다 많은 사설시조 작품에서 나타나는 수용 양상이다. 그런데 사설시조에서 신념 표출과 사실 전달이라는 수용 양상은 모두 구체적 사실의 제시라는 공통의 방식을 통해 이루어지는 양상이다. 이러한 점은 구체적 사실의 제시라는 방식이 사설시조의 장르 성격과 보다 적합한 성격임을 보여주는 것이라고 하겠다.
결국 평시조는 정서 표현에 보다 적합한 장르 특성을 가지고 있고, 사설시조는사실의 전달에 보다 적합한 장르 특성을 가지고 있다고 하겠다.

영어초록

Sijo becomes one sound piece of work by accepting the story of <Romance of The Three Kingdoms>. In this case, it is recognizable that the acceptance of the story of <Romance of The Three Kingdoms> is mainly centered with the figures of Shu Han(蜀), which was one of three kingdoms, especially with the stories of figures between Liu bei(劉備) and Zhuge Liang(諸葛孔明), and between Guan Yu(關羽) and Zhao Yun(趙子龍). It is particularly the character of Sijo to accept the story of <Romance of The Three Kingdoms> mainly focused on anecdotes of figures of Shu Han, not understanding the story as a whole.
In terms of Pyeongsijo(平時調), the aspect of accommodation of the story of <Romance of The Three Kingdoms> into Pyeongsijo appears as three aspects;representation of emotion, expression of faith and delivery of facts. In this case, usually representation of emotion has subjective emotion as its basis,expression of faith has presentation of simplified facts as its basis and delivery of facts has an array of objective facts as its basis. It is important to notice that in a form of Pyeongsijo, among three aspects of acceptance representation of emotion and expression of faith appears stronger and more in works and the aspect of delivery of facts is rare to be noticed. Therefore,among three aspects, two aspects, subjective representation of emotion and expression of faith, are in accord with a genre of Pyeongsijo. Whereas the aspect of delivery of facts which based on an array of objective facts is hard to be deemed as coincide with a genre of Pyeongsijo as the other two are.
Saseolsijo(辭說時調), also, has three aspects – representation of emotion,expression of faith and delivery of facts – in terms of the aspect of accommodation of the story of <Romance of The Three Kingdoms>.
Moreover, the characteristics of these three aspects are the same for the Saseolsijo as well. Representation of emotion has subjective emotion as its basis, expression of faith has presentation of specific facts as its basis and delivery of facts has an array of objective facts as its basis. However, the aspect of representation of emotion does not appear often. It is because this aspect of representation of emotion is not in accord with a genre of Saseolsijo.
By comparison, the aspects of expression of faith and delivery of facts appear more often and more strongly in works of Saseolsijo. The expression of faith and delivery of facts in Saseolsijo have common way of mechanism, which is through proposal of specific facts. This shows that the way of proposing specific facts is with rather suitable character to a genre of Saseolsijo.
In conclusion, Pyeongsijo has a more suitable character of genre to representation of emotion than to others, whereas Saseolsijo has a more suitable character of genre to delivery of facts than to others.
