우울증에 대한 이야기 치료의 재저작 대화 단일사례연구: 기독교 상담적 접근 (A Single Case Study of Re-authoring Conversation of Narrative Therapy for Depression: A Christian Counseling Perspective)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 우울증에 대한 이야기치료의 재저작 대화를 기독교 상담적 관점으로 접근하여 이야기의 변화과정을 고찰하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 선행연구를 통해 우울증에 대한 이야기치료의 활용방안과 기독교 상담에 대한 적용의 방향성을 탐색한다. 이어서 이야기치료의 기독교적 접근의 필요성을 주장하고 단일사례를 통해서 우울증의 지배적 이야기가 기독교적 관점의 재저작 대화를 통해 어떻게 변화되어 가는지를 살펴본다. 본 연구는 단일사례 질적 연구로서 우울증 진단을 받은 기독교인을 대상으로 하였으며 마이클 화이트의 재저작 대화 모델과 김준의 기독교적 적용 모델을 바탕으로 하여 진행하였다. 분석의 범주로 세 가지 영역인 우울증의 지배적 이야기, 기독교적 관점의 재저작 대화, 기독교적 관점의 대안적 이야기를 사용하였으며, 이와 같은 분석에 기초한 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 우울증에 대한 지배적 이야기는 현실 생활의 어려움, 부정적인 정체성, 희망 없는 미래이다, 둘째, 기독교 관점의 재저작 대화는 ‘행동 영역’, ‘정체성 영역’, ‘신앙적 영역’으로 구성되며 ‘신앙적 영역’에서는 하나님의 개입과 하나님의 자녀 됨, 예수님의 돌보심과 하나님의 선하심, 위로하시는 하나님, 하나님의 계획과 소망의 주제를 도출하였다. 셋째, 기독교 관점의 대안적 이야기는 고통과 함께하신 하나님을 발견함, 하나님 자녀로서의 정체성의 변화, 동행하시는 하나님, 미래를 소망하며 나아감으로 정리된다. 마지막으로, 연구결과를 바탕으로 기독교적 관점의 재저작 대화가 임상적 효과와 성경적 변화를 가져오는 유익성이 있음을 언급하며 연구결과의 효과성을 검증하는 후속연구의 필요성을 제안한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the process of story changes by approaching the re-authoring conversation of narrative therapy for depression from a Christian counseling perspective. To this end, this study explores the application plan of narrative therapy for depression and the direction of application to Christian counseling through previous studies. Next, the necessity of a Christian approach to narrative therapy is asserted and, through a single case, studies how the dominant narrative of depression is changed through narrative therapy from a Christian perspective. This study is a single-case qualitative study targeting Christians diagnosed with depression, and was conducted based on Michael White's re-authoring conversation model and Kim Jun's Christian application model. There are three domains as the categories of analysis, the dominant stories of depression, the re-authoring conversation from Christian perspective, and the alternative story from Christian perspective, were used. The research results based on such analysis are as follows.
First, the dominant narrative about depression are of difficulties in real life, negative identity, and a hopeless future. Second, the re-authoring conversation from Christian perspective consists of 'landscape of action' , 'landscape of identity' and 'religious landscape'. In the ‘religious landscape’, themes of God’s intervention and becoming a child of God, Care of Jesus and God’s goodness, God’s comfort, and God’s plan and hope were derived. Third, the alternative story from the Christian perspective is summarized by discovering God with suffering, changing identity as a child of God, walking with God, and hoping for the future. Finally, based on the research, it is suggested that a follow-up study to verify the effectiveness of the research results is suggested, stating that the Christian perspective of re-authoring narrative therapy has clinical effects and benefits of bringing about biblical changes.
