김시습 시에 나타난 ‘拙樸’의 문예미학 (The Aesthetics of Literature in "Simplicity and Humbleness" expressed in Kim, Si-seup's Poetry)

초록

본고는 김시습 시에 나타난 졸박의 미의식과 문예미의 특성을 살펴보고자 한 것이다. 졸박의 미학은 은일의 기조와 매우 밀접한 관련이 있는 것이며, 그런 까닭에 정치현실과 세상을 등지고 산림에 은거했던 士林들에게 잘 드러나는 특성이거니와, 특히 김시습은 산림의 은자로서 시에 있어 ‘졸박’의 미학을 창출한 선구적인 시인의 한 사람이라고 할 수 있다. 졸박의 미학은 김시습 시에 나타난 특징적인 한 국면에 그치는 것이 아니라, 그가 지극히 존숭한 시와 삶의 근원적 지평이며, 시세계 전체를 관류하는 사상적미학적 기층이라는 점에서 중요한 의미를 차지한다. 본고에서는 철학적 배경과 學詩 연원, 구현 양상 등으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 김시습의 졸박의 미학은 도연명의 많은 영향 속에서 배태된 것이지만, 적극적 수용과 변용의 개성이라는 두 측면을 함께 보여주었다. 도연명의 전원에서의 순후한 졸박의 미감은 김시습에 와서는 단독자가 산중에서 향유하는 졸박의 미감으로 바뀌었으며, 拙과 狂의 접합과, 顔子와의 연계, 臥나 게으름의 이미지가 더 강조되는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

영어초록

The objective of this research paper is to look into the consciousness of "simplicity & humbleness" and characteristics of the beauty of literature shown in the poetry by Kim, Si-seup. The aesthetics of simplicity & humbleness has to do closely with the basis of a hermit, and for that reason, these characteristics are easily found in Confucian scholars who retired to hermitage in mountain forests after leaving political reality and the world behind; particularly, Kim, Si-seup, as a mountain recluse, could be rated one of the pioneering poets who created the aesthetics of simplicity and humbleness in poetry. The aesthetics of simplicity and humbleness is not just limited to one characteristic aspect expressed in the poetry of Kim, Si-seup; rather, it has a grave significance in that the aesthetics of simplicity & humbleness is an essential horizon of the poetry and life which he extremely revered and also an ideological & aesthetic basic layer.
This research looked into the aesthetics of simplicity & humbleness by dividing into its philosophical background, the origin of poetry learning, and aspects of embodiment. The aesthetics of simplicity & humbleness demonstrated by Kim, Si-seup originated in the midst of a lot of influence of Doyeonmyung, but Kim, Si-seup's aesthetics showed the two aspects- individuality of aggressive acceptance and modification. Doyeonmyung's warm-hearted sense of beauty in simplicity & humbleness at a pastoral landscape was switched to the sense of beauty in simplicity & humbleness enjoyed by a separate person in the mountains; in addition, it was found that the image of joining of humbleness and insanity, liaison with Anja, and lying down & laziness was much more emphasized.
