한국 거주 조선족의 단체 형성과 활동 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on Formation and Recognition of Ethnic Organization Activities of Korean-Chinese in South Korea)

초록

이 논문은 한국에 체류하고 있는 조선족이 자신들의 단체에 어느 정도 참여하고 있으며, 단체의 활동에 대해 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 재한조선족은 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화, 예술, 체육, 교육, 언론, 여성, 복지, 노동 등 사회전반에 걸쳐서 단체를 결성하여 권익옹호, 이미지 개선, 조선족 공동체의 발전, 지역사회 구성원 지위 확립 등 광범위한 활동을 전개하고 있다. 재한조선족은 한국사회의 부정적 인식과 갈등을 해결하고 권익추구를 위해 연합체 형태의 단체를 결성하여 활동하고 있다.
한국에 거주하고 있는 조선족들의 단체 참여 및 활동에 관한 인식조사 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 경제․사회․정보문화․정치 및 권익옹호 등 각 부문단체 중 회원 참여가 가장 많은 단체는 사회부문 단체로 나타났다. 둘째, 네 가지 부문 단체의 활동에 대한 조선족들의 만족도는 사회부문 단체가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 재한조선족들은 조선족단체의 향후 발전 가능성에 대해 매우 긍정적인 평가를 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
향후 재한조선족 단체의 발전을 위한 정책적 시사점을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 재한조선족사회는 한국사회에서 자신들의 지위를 확립하고 목소리를 효율적으로 집약, 표출하기 위해 상호 교류와 연대운동을 강화해야 한다. 둘째, 재한조선족사회는 단체 활동의 근간이라 할 수 있는 회원 확보를 위한 활동에 적극 노력해야 한다. 마지막으로, 재한조선족사회는 조선족들이 한국사회의 당당한 구성원으로 인정받기 위해서 시민적․정치적 권리를 획득하는 운동을 적극적으로 전개해 나가야 한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to examine how Korean-Chinese living in South Korea are aware of various types of ethnic organization activities. Korean-Chinese ethnic organizations are formed various types of organizations throughout the society such as politics, economy, society, culture, arts, education, media, women, welfare, labor and sports to establish their status as a member of the local community. Especially, the Korean-Chinese are working together to solve the negative perceptions and conflicts of Korean society and to form alliance type organizations for the sake of their rights. The summary of results of the survey on the participation and activities of Korean-Chinese, residing in Korea on ethnic organizations as follows. First, the social sector organization is the organization with the highest participation among members of each sector such as economy, society, information culture, political and advocacy. Second, Satisfaction with the activities of the four sector organization was highest among the social sector organizations. Third, Korean-Chinese in Korea regard that the activities of ethnic organizations as contributing to the development of Korean-Chinese ethnic communities. Also they showed a positive perception about the future development potential of Korean-Chinese ethnic organizations. The policy implications of this study are summarized as follows. First, as confirmed through the activities of the ‘Midnight Runners’ Coalition Committee, in order to establish their position in the Korean society and to express their voices effectively, Korean-Chinese society should rescue the anti-corruption and the unity among the organizations, and act for the importance of solidarity and unity. Second, the Korean-Chinese community should try to secure more members 'membership, which is the foundation of the national organizations activities. The Korean- Chinese community in Korea should work harder to secure membership, which is the basis of the ethnic organization activities. Lastly, the Korean-Chinese society should actively promote the movement to acquire civil and political rights for the Korean people to be recognized as members of Korean society.
