조선족 이차 이산과 그 소설적 형상화 연구 (A Study on Korean Chinese’s Secondary Separation and Its Fictional Configuration)

초록

본고는 조선족 이차 이산의 양상이 어떠한지를 알아보고 관내로 이동한 조선족들의 삶을 다룬 소설들을 통해 조선족들의 의식이 어떻게 변화하는지를 해명해 보았다. 현재 조선족 작가 중에는 관내로 이동하여 활동하거나 동북 지방에 살고 있으면서 관내에서의 삶을 소설화하는 작가가 적지 않다. 한국과의 수교로 조선족들의 삶이 통째로 흔들리면서 조선족 소설은 한국과 관련된 많은 이야기들이 한 주류를 이루고 있다. 그러나 조선족 이차 이산으로 많은 조선족들이 관내로 이동하여 새로운 삶의 터전을 이루면서 그들의 삶 역시 조선족 소설의 중요한 주제가 되고 있다. 본고에서는 관내에서 활동하는 몇 작가의 작품을 통해 조선족 이차 이산의 결과 조선족 소설이 어떻게 변모하였는가를 밝혔다.
본고는 분석 대상으로 다룬 작품이 많지 않아 시론적인 성격을 띨 수밖에 없다. 그래서 본고에서는 관내에서 활동하는 작가들의 작품에 고향으로서 동북 지방과 현재 살고 있는 관내 그리고 많은 조선족들이 살아가고 있는 한국이 어떠한 공간으로 인식되고 있는가를 중심으로 정리하였다. 그들이 고향은 떠나올 수밖에 없었던 극빈의 공간이면서 동시에 언젠가는 돌아가야 할 공간이자 황폐해진 몸과 마음을 다시 일으켜 세울 수 있는 재생의 공간으로 그려지고 있다. 또 관내는 돈을 벌기 위하여 나와 있지만 많은 고난이 상존하는 곳으로 육체적으로 정신적으로 타락하게 되는 공간이지만 자신들이 뿌리를 내리고 살아야 할 정주의 공간으로 그려진다. 이에 비해 한국은 일확천금이 가능하지만 한순간에 몰락할 수 있는 모순의 공간이면서 동시에 그들의 꿈을 이룰 수 있는 희망의 공간으로 그려지고 있다.

영어초록

This study attempted to explain how Korean Chinese’s consciousness has changed through examining the pattern of Korean Chinese’s secondary separation and analyzing novels that dealt with the life of Korean Chinese who moved into the principal region of China. Many of Korean Chinese writers have moved into the jurisdiction of China and are working there, or are novelizing life in the principal region of China while staying in the northeastern region. As Korean Chinese’s life has experienced radical changes since the establishment of formal diplomatic relation between Korea and China, stories about Korea are forming a main stream of Korean Chinese novels. However, many Korean Chinese moved into the principal region of China to find a new ground of life, experiencing secondary separation, and their life has become an important theme of Korean Chinese novels. This study examined how Korean Chinese’s secondary separation influenced Korean Chinese novels using the works of several writers working within the principal region of China.
Because the number of works analyzed in this study is not large, this paper took rather the form of an essay. Therefore, it was focused on how Korean Chinese writers working within the principal region of China describe in their novels the northeastern region of China as their home, the principal region of China, and Korea. According to the results of this study, their hometown is a space of extreme poverty that they had to leave and, at the same time, is described as a space that they will return to someday and as a space of revival where their impaired body and mind will be raised up again. In addition, the principal region of China is a place where they came to make money but have to endure many sufferings and a space of physical and mental corruption, but is also described as a space that they should root into and settle. On the contrary, Korea is a space of contradiction where opportunities for fortune and risk of downfall coexist, and at the same time, is described as a space of hope where they can realize their dreams.
