한･일 수여보조동사표현과 의뢰표현 –언어행동심리 측면에서의 대조고찰– (Expressions in Korean and Japanese using Dative Verbs and Verbs for Request)

초록

Since Korean and Japanese dative verbs are different each other in terms of system, Korean verb, “to do things for” (∼해 주다) and “to receive from” (∼해 받다) cannot correspond with Japanese verbs of the same expression such as 「∼てやる, ∼てくれる」 and 「∼てもらう」.
Especially the Japanese verbs, 「∼(させ)てもらう」「∼(させ)てもらいたい(と思う)」 and 「∼(させ)てもらおう(と思う)」 have the connotations of expressing opinions of the speaker, declaration, and/or strong order, rather than “receiving what the speaker did”, which is clearly different from Korean language.
Most of these cases are translated in Korean to “do things for (∼해주다)” or “to ask to do ∼ (∼해 달라)”.
In addition, there are quite different styles in the style of speech when asking to do a favor or request. Especially in Korean, when the speakers are close and they are of similar age, they believe that using recommending words such as “Let’s (「∼하자」 and “shall we (∼합시다.) expresses more attached relations than using the assistant words using the dative verbs such as “Please do it (「∼해 줘」) and could you do it~~ (∼해 줄래?). It is very interesting psychology of language behaviors as stated above.
This study investigated the differences in psychology of language behaviors between Korean and Japanese language through the comparative studies of expression by dative verbs and words for request.
