초록

From the ancient times to the present, there have been many poems about bamboo in China. From The Book of Songs to the poetry of Qing Dynasty, the previous scholars constantly chanted poetry of bamboo. Zheng Banqiao's bamboo poems formed a school in Qing Dynasty. The bamboo in his works was characterized by his personality, thoughts and knowledge, sometimes was portrayed in various looks because of his melancholy, resentment or wishes. There were “engagement” poems that described the world and chanted the affection of humans. There were also “retreat” poems that regarded nature as good and aimed for life outside the world. Especially, in Zheng Banqiao's bamboo poems, these three elements were condensed into one and were worked with his life. The Bamboo was Zheng Banqiao himself, and vice versa. This artist's spirit was close to the modern spirit that pursued the personality of the artist beyond the existing boundaries.
