초록

In this paper, 3D simulation techniques were used to measure aesthetic characteristics and influence of
bridge landscape. Preferences and image features were surveyed under different conditions. This paper focused
on prospect conditions, that is, relations between viewpoints and bridges. Horizontal, incidence angles, and
height of viewpoint were used as quantitative indicators which determine prospect conditions. The results
obtained through such processes are expected to provide 1) optimal prospect conditions and image features by
prospect-determining factors of bridges 2) and influence of factors which affect bridge landscape aesthetics as a
whole. Based on that, it is expected that basic data including location selection criteria and production method
will be provided in creating viewpoint field. The conclusions of the paper are about: condition selection of
bridges for experiment; and characteristics analysis of landscape aesthetics by prospect conditions. Despite the
fact that the consideration of landscape aesthetics by prospect conditions is essential in bridge landscape
planning, the planning focuses much more on the figurative beauty of bridges until now. The paper evaluated
the importance of prospect and provided the bridge evaluation criteria by prospect conditions. Therefore, it is
expected to come up with basic data for bridge landscape planning.
