도심 취약지역 불교 포교의 문제점과 개선 방향 연구 (Study of Buddhist Propagation in Urban Vulnerable area and the Direction of Improvement)

초록

포교를 기준으로 한국 불교계의 현실을 진단할 때 타 종교계와 현격히 구별되는 점은, 신도심 지역과 도심 취약지역 포교를 소홀히 함으로써 종교로써 불교의 역할과 영향력을 급격히 상실하고 있다는 점이다. 이로 인하여 접근성이 높은 도심 포교 사찰이 절대적으로 부족하여 어린이 및 청소년 포교가 실종되고 있다.
급격한 도시화로 인구의 도시 집중화도 빠르게 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 종교와 종교 간의 편차, 같은 종교 간 그리고 사회 계층 간 빈부격차는 오히려 심화되고 있으며 불교 포교의 취약 지역도 급격히 늘어나고 있다. 급격한 사회 변화와 종교의식 및 상황의 변화에 불교는 적절한 대응을 하지 못하고 있다.
도심 포교 활성화는 불교계에서 이미 오래 전부터 제기된 문제점이다. 특히 20세 이하에서 불교와 기독교 인구 격차가 계속 벌어지고 있는 현실은 신도심과 도심 변두리 소외(취약)지역에 사찰이나 포교당 숫자가 절대적으로 부족한 것이 큰 원인 중 하나이다.
본 논문에서는 취약지역 포교 현황과 문제점, 인구 비례로 본 불교와 기독교의 편차 및 어린이와 노인 불자의 감소 원인, 포교의 지역 편중 현상, 종교택지 공급으로 본 불교 현황 그리고 취약지역 포교당 설립의 방향 등 개선책을 연구하였다.

Essential Difference between Protestant and Korea Buddhism & large temples is neglecting the city propaganda for the new downtown area and vulnerable areas.Therefore, Buddhism rapidly loses its role and influence as religion. In addition to focusing on small pogyodang (布敎堂) which operates in a difficult places has many difficulty to operate. They don't get a little help.
Therefore Buddhism has resulted in "The more you have, the more you get, the less you have, the poorer you get" phenomenon.
Due to this lack of the city missionary temples like pogyodang that you can easily reach, children and youth missionary is missing and the elderly are not looking for Buddhism any more. Residents who are eagerly looking for religion are going to have interest in other religions. I think religion should take care of the poor and difficult place to reach first. But in reality, on the contrary, there are lot of protestant missionary center in that place instead of Buddhism. Buddhism temples are being established so far in place where the rich people live or good local economy area only. To make matters worse, the rapid urbanization of the populations concentrated in cities and people are moving to city area from rural areas.
However the difference between religion and religion, the social classes and the religious, gap between rich and poor is deepening rather. In the mean time, Buddhism did not provide a prescription and appropriate response.In other words, it can be seen that Buddhism does not meet the contemporary needs of religion. It has long been raised in the Buddhist community that the importance of the urban missionary activation issues. For the Buddhist future development, we must obtain the cooperation of the community, including children and youth. The differences in Buddhist and Christian population gap continues comparing under 20 years old population. The main reason is absolutely insufficient number of temples and pogyodang in the city outskirts and new downtown marginalized (vulnerable) areas.
In this paper improvement measures were studied as follows, current status and problems of propagation vulnerable areas, the Buddhist and Christian population proportion of variance analysis, the cause of decreased Buddhists population in children and the elderly. Regional bias phenomenon of propagation, Buddhist situation in view of Buddhist religion residential land supply, direction of pogyodang establishment in vulnerable areas.
