The reason why the novel made a number of readers in the world moved is that it destroyed the boundary between fantasy and healing. The Namiya General Store serves as a mystical space where past and future letters are exchanged. This novel makes the readers travel across time through temporal and spatial fantasticality.
Miracles of the Namiya General Store features letters as a tool to soothe despair. Letters from three banal unemployed young persons soothe consulters and make miracles.
