상황화 신학의 관점에서 본 세계 기독교: 개신교 500년 교의 역사에 대한성결·오순절운동의 사중복음신학적 이해 (World Christianity in the Contextualizing Theology: An Understanding of Dogma History during the Protestantism 500 Years from the Fourfold Gospel Theology of the Holiness-Pentecostalism)

초록

본 연구는 개신교 500년 역사 가운데 교회가 처한 상황에서 다루어진 구원론적 이슈들에 집중한다. 각 시대, 그리고 북반구와 남반구, 전 지구적으로 걸쳐 나타난 신학적 논제들은 21세기 세계 기독교 시대의 글로컬 신학을 위한 중요한 유산들이다. 우리는 이 유산들 가운데 중생, 성결·성령세례, 신유, 재림이 교의 역사적으로 중요하게 드러남을 관찰한다. 이것은 “사중복음” 혹은 “오중복음”으로 불리는 것으로서 “세계 기독교”(World Christianity)를 위한 신학적 패러다임이 될 수 있음을 제안한다.
우리는 우리의 제안을 위하여 다음과 같은 주제들을 다루고자 한다. 1) 기독교의 전 역사는 ‘복음의 상황화’(contextualizing)를 통하여 신학의 자립을 이룩하기 위한 ‘상황화 신학’의 역사로 해석할 수 있다. 2) 교회가 비복음적인 것에 대해 저항할 때 사중복음의 특징들이 개신교 역사의 단계마다 나타난 것을 확인할 수 있기 때문에, 사중복음은 세계 교회가 복음의 상황화를 통해 역사적으로 입증한 하나님 나라 복음의 요약이요 집중이라 할 수 있다. 3) 복음의 상황화를 통해 각 시대별로 밝혀진 중생, 성결·성령세례, 신유, 재림은, 이들이 강조된 시대의 기독교를 이해하는 중요한 해석학적 틀이며, 이들은 기독교에 속한 모든 교파가 공유하는 ‘교의’(dogma)가 될 수 있다. 4) 개신교 500년 역사는, 16세기 이후 종교개혁의 발흥지인 유럽은 중생의 복음을 통해 프로테스탄트 기독교를, 18세기 이후 영국 북미주는 성결의 복음을 통해 복음주의 기독교를, 20세기 이후 남반구(아프리카, 아시아, 라틴 아메리카)는 신유의 복음을 통해 펜티코스탈 기독교를 형성해 온 역사로 볼 수 있다. 5) 21세기는 중생, 성결·성령세례, 신유의 복음과 더불어 ‘재림의 복음’이 온전히 드러나야 할 종말론적 시대 상황이 그 어느 때보다 부각되는 시대로서, 재림 신앙으로 많은 순교자를 낸 한국교회가 그 사명을 감당할 적임자가 될 수 있다.
이상의 논제들을 통해 사중복음이 세계 기독교의 현실을 신학적으로 이해하는 중요한 단초가 될 수 있음을 밝히는 것이다. 본 연구는 세계 기독교를 사중복음의 관점에서 통합적으로 고찰하는 선교-역사적이며 신학적인 시도가 될 것이다.

영어초록

This study focuses on issues on soteriology of the contextual church during the 500 years history of Protestantism. The theological theses that have surfaced globally in the Global North and the Global South of each era are important heritages for glocal theology in the 21st century World Christian era. We observe that among these heritages, regeneration, holiness-Spirit baptism, Divine healing, and the Second Coming are historically significant. This suggests that it could be a theological paradigm for “World Christianity,” which is called the “Fourfold Gospel” or “Full Gospel”.
For this proposal, we will cover the following topics. 1) The entire history of Christianity can be interpreted as the history of ‘contextualizing theology’ to achieve the independence of theology through ‘contextualizing of the gospel’. 2) As the church resisted against nonevangelical powers, as the characteristics of the Fourfold gospel could be identified in each age of the Christian history, the Fourfold gospel is the focus of the gospel of God’s kingdom entering historically through the context of the gospel of the world church. 3) Regeneration, sanctification, Divine healing, and Second Coming are revealed in each age through the contextualization of the gospel build an important hermeneutical framework for understanding the Christianity of the times. They can become a ‘dogma’ that can be shared by all Christian denominations. 4) The 500 years of Protestant history can be seen as the formation of the Pentecostal Christianity starting with the Protestant Christianity through the gospel of regeneration of Europe that occurred in the late 16th century of Reformation, the evangelical Christianity of the Holiness in the end of the 18th century in Northern America, and the Pentecostal Christianity through the gospel of Divine healing in the late 20th century in the Southern Globe. 5) In the 21st century, the eschatological situation, in which the Gospel of the Second Coming should be fully revealed, together with the gospel of regeneration, sanctification, and Divine healing, is more important than ever. It is the calling of the Korean church, who has produced so many martyrs by the faith of Parousia, to be ready.
The purpose of this paper is to reveal through theses of ideals that the Fourfold gospel can be an important step to the theological understanding of the reality of world Christianity. This study will be a missiological-historical and theological attempt to examine the diversity and unity of world Christianity from a Fourfold gospel view.
