초록

I analyze the economic situation of temple's tenants in Chungju(忠州) with Gwangmu-Yangan(光武量案).
The rate of temple's land in Chungju was higher than average of the whole land-rates. Also rice fields were more than dry fields. But their cultivators were filled with the poor below average. 54% of the poor had no farm. On the other hand,the tenants of Min Yeung Sik(閔應植), a high officer, possessed the more land than the average.
It is another feature that most of no land farmers cultivated only temple's land. It means that temple's tenants were subordinated to temple as economy.
The village under temple had been special relationship with the temple. As a such sample, I select Deokju-village nearby Deokju-Sa(德周寺) in Mt Weol-Ak(月嶽山). There were 21houses in Deokju-village. 6 of them were owned to Deokju-Sa.
The dwellers pocessed no land, and cultivated the only a litttle temple's farm. But They lived in the bigger house than the neighbors. They had must been helped by temple.
However, Deokju-village was not under the Temple's power.
The village people had no respect of community. The farms in the villlage were owned by other villager. The most village people had to go out the village for their cultivating. In Pocession and cultivating, it is difficult for village people to have common interest.
