東學農民戦争의 硏究 現況과 課題- 제2차 東學農民戰爭을 中心으로－ (Current Status and Task of Study on Donghak Peasant War －Focusing on the 2nd War－)

초록

1894年の東學農民戦争は反封建·反外勢の近代民族運動の出發點といえる。この東學農民戰爭に対する硏究は20世紀初から始まって今韓國史上一番多く研究したことで知られている。このように東學農民戰爭に対する研究が膨大なことはこの戦争がそれくらい韓国近代史に及んだ影響が大きい為である。本稿はこのような東學農民戦争の研究成果,特に2000年以降発表した第２次東學農民戦争の研究を整理することで中点を置いた。この研究らを通じて第2次東學農民戦争の背景, 主導者, 日本軍の 討伐及び虐殺狀況がどのくらい糾明されたと思う。しかし東學農民戦争の全体的な様相様相と性格などに対してより具体的で緻密な分析を通してこの戦争が東アジアあるいは世界的で 如何なる意味をもつかをはっきりさせるのが重要するといえる。これはこの戦争に従って日本軍によって虐殺させた幾多な東學農民軍に対する日本と日本軍の責任を問うこと為である。これは朝鮮と台湾、そして満州一帯を植民地にする日本帝国主義に対する責任を問うこうという点から重要な事である。一方この戦争は東アジアの覇権が清国から日本で移行する重要な契機とされる。すなわち朝鮮居留民を保護する名目で東學農民戦争に介入した日本が清日戦争を起こして清国を朝鮮から駆逐した。そして1904年露日戦争を勝利に導く日本は韓国を植民地とした。韓国史の観点から見ると東學農民戦争は日本が韓国を植民地とした決定的な契機であった。それから東學農民戦争に対する研究は韓国史的観点にもなりったべきものなり同時に東アジア的な観点にもがなし遂げられなければならない。

영어초록

It can be said that Donghaek Peasant War is the starting point of anti-feudal and anti-foreign modern national movement. Study on this Donghaek Peasant War starting from early 20th century has been known as the most research theses being published in the history of Korea to date. Likewise, the reason why study on Donghaek Peasant War is enormous is probably because of the effect of this war on the modern history of Korea.
This thesis focused on arranging the study results of such Donghaek Peasant War, especially the 2nd Donghaek Peasant War published 2000 year. Through them, it can be said that the background, leader of the 2nd Donghaek Peasant War, status of Japanese army’s conquest and slaughter to some extent. However, it will be important to explore what meaning it has in the history of East Asia or world through more concrete and elaborate analysis on the entire phase or nature of Donghaek Peasant War. For this is the very thing that holds Japan and Japanese army responsible for a number of Donghak peasant soldiers butchered by Japanese soldiers due to this war. This can be said to be crucial in that it holds Japanese imperialism making Joseon, Taiwan and surrounding place responsible.
On one hand, this war served as a momentum that hegemony of East Asia is transferred from Ching to Japan. That is, in the name of protecting its nationals in Joseon, Japan intervened in Donghaek Peasant War, started Chino-Japanese War and drove out Ching from Joseon. And in 1914, leading Russo-Japanese War up to the win, Japan succeeded in colonizing our country. That is, from the viewpoint of Korean history, Donghaek Peasant War was a conclusive momentum by which Japan colonized our country.
Thus, study on Donghaek Peasant War is thought to be conducted from the viewpoint of Korean history as well as that of East Asian history.
