초록

The current study aimed to investigate the perception and demand of semi-permanent makeup of students studying beauty major who are expected to become semi-permanent makeup experts and investigate the perception and treatment behaviors of semi-permanent makeup of general public. Another purpose of the study was to suggest institutionalization of semi-permanent makeup through survey on produced actual condition of practitioner of semipermanent makeup education institution. The survey period was from June to August 2018. Results of this study revealed that many students of beauty major know that semi-permanent makeup treatment of the general public is illegal. In this regard, they hope to legalize it, and after graduation, they want to work as a semi-permanent makeup expert. In addition, more than half of the general public think that the pigment used in semi-permanent makeup is unsafe. Although a beauty practitioner perceives that the procedure is illegal, more than half of them have experienced the procedure and approved the legalization. The majority of students in beauty major and the general public want only the qualified persons to work as semi-permanent makeup experts after the introduction of national certification system as a method of legalization of semi-permanent makeup. Currently, the training courses of semi-permanent makeup experts are not systematic. To institutionalize semi-permanent makeup with social trust, it requires a selfreflected effort through foreign regulations and examples of past efforts in other beauty fields.
