초록

This paper aims to look into what is the diaspora cultural phenomenon and what is the potential of the transnationalism. The purpose of this paper is to stop the existing diaspora directing to social worries and to search the possible way to make it into the positive assets leading to the Korea future global network era.
The word of 'diaspora' originates from the Greek language 'diasporein' containing 'dia' and 'speirein' which mean scatter, spread and disperse. Nowadays, the word diaspora has been widely expressed by the people from immigrants, refugees, asylum to abroad immigrant, ethnic community, that is, ethnically, culturally, religiously mixed community and now further represents the hybrid, heterogeneity, double consciousness and identity formation.
The diaspora literature so far has expressed Korean people's emmigration as a negative issue such as dispersion, dismantle, expulsion, asylum etc. But the recent reverse-diaspora literature expresses foreigner's immigration and Korean society's tolerance and it's interactive influence and inter-appropriation as a result.
So Korean diaspora literature is now shows the action-reaction that Koreans and foreigners in Korea lose their original identity and mix each other. Such a cross-border phenomenon is shown in the space of diaspora where the immigrants live.
It is a creative action of innovating the current situation and searching for the communication for Korean authors to take the diaspora lives as an object of the novel. It is because the diaspora literature implies the concept of capsizal which makes the novel itself the fiercely resisting thing against the irrational world.
