산업디자인 전공자를 위한 스케치 통합교육사례연구 –실기 및 비실기 전형자를 중심으로 - (A Case Study on Sketch Inclusive Education for Industrial Design Majors - focused on students by practical skills test and non - performance test -)

초록

융합적 디자인 전문 인력을 양성하기 위한 정부정책에 의하여 대학의 교육도 변화하는 추세이다. 수능과 학생부의 전형자료로 선발하는 디자인 대학의 비실기 입학전형이 증가하고 있으며, 실기능력 여부의 구별 없이 하나의 교과과정에서 교육받고 있다. 이러한 교과과정에서 나타나는 문제점은 입학 후 학생의 학업 성취도에 대한 부분이다. 이에 선행연구를 바탕으로 문제점을 분석하고 하나의 교과과정에서 교육하기 위한 스케치 통합 교육 안이 마련되어야 하며 창의적인 문제해결능력을 바탕으로한 스케치 교육모델 안이 필요하다. 본 연구는 실기 유무에 따른 격차를 줄이고 스케치 학습의 효율성을 높이기 위한 것이다. 디자인 실무에서 사용하는 디자인 프로세스를 활용하여 학생들의 스케치 과정 추이를 실기능력을 향상시키기 위해 구체적으로 연구하였다. 연구범위 및 대상은 실기 및 비실기 전형으로 입학한 산업디자인학과 저학년 기초 교육과정인 스케치 과목으로 연구에 참여한 실기 및 비실기 전형 학생의 비율은 45%대 55%이다. 그 결과 하나의 통합교육과정에서 학생들의 실기 유무의 구분 없이 소규모 단위의 개인별 학습을 할 수 있었다. 기본적인 스케치기법과 디자인 프로세스 단계별로 프로젝트형 스케치 기법을 학습함으로써, 학생 스스로가 문제점을 해결하며 그에 적절한 창의적인 해결안으로 독창적인 형태를 구현하는 스케치 표현력뿐만 아니라 디자인의 핵심능력인 창의력과 통합적 문제해결능력 향상 시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 교육사례연구 결과를 토대로 효과적인 스케치교육이 이루어질 수 있도록 디자인 기초실기교육에 적용할 새로운 스케치교육의 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.

영어초록

It has changed the university education due to the government policy to train the professional manpower of collaborated design. Furthermore, it is on the increase of non-performance entrance examination selected as entrance materials for the scholastic aptitude test in the design college and student department, and a fully integrated curriculum was conducted without distinction of practical skills. The problem occurred by such curriculum are the part related to the learning achievement for the students by the non-performance test after the entrance. It requires the education model draft of creative sketch to empower the basic sketch and improve the ability of systematic sketch in order to educate the students by practical skills test and non-performance test for design simultaneously in one curriculum. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning efficiency by the existence of students' practice and to conduct research and comparative analysis on the trend of students' work process in the sketch class specifically whether the existence of ability to practice by using the design process utilized in the design practice. As to the research scope and research object, the ratio of students by the practical skills test and non-performance test who participated in the research for the subject of sketch as basic curriculum at the freshman of design department entered with the practical skills test and non-performance test was 45% to 55%. As a result, this study was to conduct the small-scale unit of individual learning without distinction of the existence of students' practice within one curriculum, and to learn the sketch technique by stage of design process. In addition, this study has found out that it could improve the originality as core competence of design and integrated problem solving ability as well as the sketch expression ability that the students could solve the problems and implement the creative form of proper creative solution for themselves. Based on the result of case study on the education, this researcher is to suggest the direction of new sketch education and present a proposal to apply it to the basic practical education of design in order that the sketch education can be achieved effectively.
