초록

This study aims to explore the challenges of land-mine issue in Myanmar which have adversely affected the peasant. Hundreds of thousand people lost their limbs. They are facing lots of problem to live their normal life. Specially, the people who are living in the remote areas are still facing conflict. They haven’t got solution to their problems in order to live their life smoothly. It is hard for the people to access the prosthetic socket from the concern agencies. Against this backdrop, the researcher conduct his research to find out the local context harmonic solution through 3D printing and digital designing in order to make artificial limb. In the process of making customized prosthetic socket, a combination of 3D scanning, 3D modelling and 3D printing is used through a six- step methodology. It is developed as an easy guide for prosthetists without requiring an extensive experience in CAD (Computer Aided Design). Especially, during the 3D scanning process, low-cost mobile application 3D scanner can be used as a portable device in community level for reducing the problem of patients. And also, the Voronoi 3D patterns are used for the local contextual prosthesis design. In addition, the main purpose of the 3D printing and digital design is to reduce the cost of the prosthetic socket, to make an environmental friendly, contextual, comfortable, and easy access to all the people living in vulnerable areas in Myanmar.
