초록

This part has stated list and meaning of adjectives with roots in one syllable Chinese characters out of adjectives used in modern Korean and their changes. These adjectives have three aspects- disappearance after modern Korean, change of forms, and change of meaning.
Most of adjectives with roots in one syllable Chinese characters such as ‘熱다’ and ‘溫다’ disappearing in the 18th century had been adjectives used for verb and adjective from Middle Korean. Aside from this type, most of adjectives disappeared in the 19th century. In addition, for positive aspects such as ‘高’ and '多’, adjectives existed, but for negative aspects such as ‘底' and '少’, adjectives with roots in one syllable Chinese characters didn't exist even during modern Korean. ‘密다’ changed to ‘密密다’, by repeating the same Chinese characters.
On the other hand, adjectives combining other Chinese characters such as ‘安다-平安다’ show individual meanings for two Chinese characters are mixed.
For adjectives with roots in one syllable Chinese characters whose meaning changes, most of them didn't make pairs of synonyms in native words- the majority of which have continued by minimizing meaning and some of which have continued by maximizing or totally changing meaning.
