초록

본 연구에서는 「105인사건」 관련자 중 중 1913년 3월 경성복심법원(2심)에서 무죄로 풀려난 인물 가운데 국외로 망명한 19인의 事後 행적과 활동을 추적했다. 이들 105인사건에 관련된 인물들은 이후 행적과 활동을 통해 크게 독립운동에 가담한 인물과 친일로 경도되었던 인물로 구분할 수 있다. 출옥할 때 이들의 나이가 20~40대의 젊은 나이였기에 이후 이들의 행적이 매우 궁금하지 않을 수 없었다. 이상의 사후 추적을 통해 이들의 행적과 활동을 요약 정리해보면 아래와 같다.
첫째 이들이 출옥 후 해외 망명길에 나설 수 있었던 요인의 하나로 경제적 이유를 들 수 있다. 본 사건 피의자 가운데 국내에 남아 훗날 친일로 경도되었던 인물들에 비해 재산 정도가 매우 열악했음을 알 수 있다. 둘째 事後 국외로 나간 19인의 망명지는 크게 3지역으로 구분된다. 국경을 접하고 있던 중국 동북부 안동현 지역으로 망명한 인물들은 대부분 대한청년단연합회와 한족회 활동 그리고 상해 임정 산하의 연통제와 관련된 행적과 활동이 주를 이루었다. 간도·노령지역으로 망명한 인물들은 서간도 柳河縣 三源堡와 龍井村 일대의 민족학교에서 교육사업에 종사하는 한편 만주일대 여러 독립군 단체에 가입하여 당시 산재되어 있던 독립단체를 통합하기 위해 결성된 全滿統一議會籌備會 등에 적극 참여하였던 것으로 나타난다.
상해지역으로의 망명자는 대부분 상해 임정에 관계하며 대한민국임시의정원 의원에 선임되어 국내와의 연락사무를 맡고 있다. 또한 상해지역 한인거류민단의 실무와 재정지원 활동을 주로 했다. 그러나 1923년 국민대표회의가 창조파와 개조파로 나뉘어 내홍을 겪는 과정에서 일부는 안창호의 흥사단계로 다른 한편은 만주 혹은 미주로 떠났다. 미주로 건너간 인물들은 주로 로스앤젤레스와 샌프란시스코의 한인들로 구성된 대한인국민회를 중심으로 독립군자금 모금운동과 비행사양성소 연습생을 양성하는 일 등에 참여하였던 것으로 나타난다. 이상 19인의 국외활동은 망명지의 상황과 특성에 따라 여러 형태로 독립운동에 참여했으나 대체로 안창호의 운동노선을 견지했던 것으로 보인다.

영어초록

In this study, I traced 19 figures’ conduct and activity after the fact, who took refuges abroad among the figures acquitted of the charge at the court of appeal in Kyeongseong (their second trial) regarding the event of 105people in March, 1913. The figures concerned to the event of 105 people can be divided into two groups in large, when they are classified by their conduct and activity after the fact, the group composed of people who participated in independence movement and the group composed of people who leaned toward a pro-Japanese disposition. As they were released from prison at the young age of 20~40, I could not but be anxious to know their conduct after the fact. I could summarize and arrange data about their conduct and activity after the fact as follows;Firstly, one of the factors that they could exile themselves abroad after their release from prison was economic one. Comparing their financial conditions with those of people who stayed in Korea and leaned toward the pro-Japanese disposition later, their financial conditions were very poor.
Secondly, 19 figures defected to 3 places in large. Most figures who defected to the area in Andung-hyeon (安東縣), northeast China, where Korea and China shared a common border, chiefly participated in the activities of Daehancheongnyeondanyeonhaphoi (the Federation of Korean Young Men’s groups: a body for Korean independence movement), Hanjokhoi (the Korean People’s Association: a body for Korean independence movement) and Yeontongje (secret regional administrative structures established in Korea and Manchuria by the Korean Provisional Government in Shanghai), which operated under the Korean Provisional Government in Shanghai. The figures who defected to Gando and the areas which belonged to Russia were engaged in educational work in the schools for Koreans around Samwonpo,Ryooheo-hyeon (柳河縣 三源堡) and Longjincun, and joined various organizations related to the army for national independence, and actively participated in a preparatory committee for unified parliament in the whole Manchuria formed for unifying the scattered organizations for national independence and others.
Most fugures who defected to Shanghai were engaged in the work for the Provisional Goverment and elected as members of the Korean Interim National Assembly, and carried out liaison work with Korea. Also they participated in the affairs of the Federation of Korean residents in Shanghai and the activities for financial support. But as the Meeting of National Representatives was divided into the Creation Group and the Reorganization Group, and underwent internal troubles, some of them followed “Young Korean Academy” led by Ahn, Chang-ho, and others left for Manchuria or the United States. The figures who left for the United States participated in the fund raising for the army for national independence and the activities for training aircraft pilots with Korean National Association as the central organization, which was chiefly composed of Koreans in Los Angeles and San Francisco. It seems that 19 figures took part in various kinds of independence movement according to the situation and characteristics of the place of exile, however, they adhered to Ahn, Chang-ho’s line for Independence movement.
