초록

Collectors of medicinal herbs are persons who have gathered wild herbs and collected medicinal stuffs of animal·mineral. For a long term, they have gathered various wild herbs and handed down folk customs of gathering medicinal herbs and folk medicines.
The mountain god as supernatural being, taking charge of mountain, is the most important religious subject. Religious taboos and devotion rites are a major folk ways for mountain god to ask for safety and much giving.
The extinction of collectors of medicinal herbs have made dying out folk medicines as well as folk customs of gathering medicinal herbs. Though folk medicines are tacit knowledge which are not verified and approved officially its pharmacological effects by scientific tests, it is an important folk science and native knowledge handed down for a long time.
The knowledge of medicinal herbs and the experiences of folk medicines, having been practiced and handed down by collectors of medicinal herbs, are an important intangible assets transmitted long times. Therefore, we must research and write minutely the experiences and perceptions of only a few collectors of medicinal herbs survived in the context of each life history. And we must plan the way of usages in the new view of point and deep insights for great development.
