예수, 총체적 종말론적 구원자: 마가복음의 예수의 치유와 축귀 그리고 죽음을 중심으로 (Jesus, A Holistic and Eschatological Savour: Jesus’ Healing, Exorcism and Death in the Gospel of Mark)

초록

예수님을 특징지우는 가장 뚜렷한 일들 중 하나는 그가 ‘놀라운 일’(기적)을 수행했다는 것이다. 그가 행한 ‘놀라운 일’에는 통상 병치유, 축귀, 자연기적 등이 포함된다. 특히 마가복음에서 치유는 헬라어 동사 sw,|zw(‘구원하다’)로 여섯 번 언급(3:4; 5:23, 28, 34; 6:56; 10:52)될 정도로 구원과 치유가 밀접하 게 연결돼 있음을 보여준다. 물론 예수님의 ‘놀라운 일’ 수행과 관련하여 이 미 많은 연구가 진행되어 온 것이 사실이다. 지금까지의 연구는 크게 두가지 로 나눠 진행되었는데, 한편으로 유대 종말론 전망에서 이뤄졌고, 다른 한편 으로1세기지중해세계의의료문화적전망에서이뤄졌다. 본연구는이두 전망을 통합시켜 예수께서 가져오시고자 구원의 총체성을 부각시킬 것이다. 예수께서 가져오신 총체적 구원(holistic salvation)은 죄 용서, 몸 치유, 사회적 관계의 회복, 그리고 모든 고통의 원인인 사탄을 격퇴하는 것을 포함하고 있 다는것이본연구의결론이될것이다. 이러한 결론은 오늘날 그리스도의 몸이라 일컫는 교회가 그리스도의 구원을 전파할 때 가져야 할 방향을 제공 해줄 것이다.

영어초록

One of the most remarkable characteristics of Jesus is that he did ‘wonder- ous works,’ which include healing, exorcism, natural miracles like calming a stormy sea and walking on water. Above all healing itself is uttered as the verb sw,|zw six times in the Gospel of Mark(3:4; 5:23, 28, 34; 6:56; 10:52). The primary concern of the article is to demonstrate the multiple meanings of healings and exorcisms Jesus perfomed and to comprehend the deeper meaning of his death in terms of salvation(swthri,a). For this purpose the article makes use of two methodologies: One is the medical culture of the first-century Mediterraanean world, and the other is eschatol- ogy which has been acknowledged as the worldview of the Second Temple Judaism and thus of Jesus’ compemporaries.
As a result the article has attempted to prove that the salvation Jesus has given in terms of healing and exorcism and his death was characteristic of the holistic dimension. This is because he pronounced the forgiveness of sin, which was sometimes considered as the cause of disease, and then cured physical weakness itself. Finally he made it possible that s/he could play his/her own social responsibility by sending the cured into houses or local communities. This kind of peformance may be called not only the holistic healing from the perspective of the medical culture of the first-century Mediterranean world, but also the concrete establishment of the king- dom of God in the spiritual, physical and social domain of an individual. What is more important is that Jesus solved the fundamental problem of all kinds of suffering, illness, and distortion by defeating Satan and expel- ling evil spirits out of humans. These things happened when Jesus defeated the temptation of Satan(1:12-13) and gave himself as a ransom “for many”(10:45).
The way of the Christian church as the body of Christ is to follow Jesus’ way for the kingdom of God to be established in all domains of human lives.
