극동 지역 나나이족의 죽음 관련 의례, 의식에 나타난 영혼관 (The View on the Soul of Nanaj in the Far East in the Ritual and Ceremony Related in Death)

초록

본 논문의 목적은 죽음 관련 의례, 의식 중 장례식, 초혼식, 송혼식을 통해 나나이족의 영혼관 분석하는 것이다. 나나이족의 장례식은 3일장으로 세부 의식은 망자(亡者)의 사회적 지위, 죽음의 원인과 장소, 나이에 따라 달라진다. 장례식의 주요 의식으로는 3일 동안 계속되는 조문, 헤리우리(hɛriuri) 의식, 점등 의식, 난타라 의식이 있다. 장례식 첫째 날의 주요 의식에는 속굉(屬紘)과 역복(易服) 의식, 지르켄지(ǯirkɛnǯi) 의식과 상식 올리기, 난타라 콜리니(nantara kolini) 의식, 에리우리(ɛriuri) 의식, 흉복 에립툰(ɛriptun)과 로차코(lochako) 만드는 의식이 있다. 둘째 날은 특별한 의식은 없으며 셋째 날 주요 의식에는 수의 입히기, 입관식, 시신 내가기와 자제르잔니야(ǯaǯɛrǯanija) 의식, 운구(運柩), 급묘(及墓) 절차, 귀가의식이 있다.
초혼식은 장례식 날을 제외한 사망 7일째 거행되며 초혼식을 의미하는 나나이어 중 가장 널리 전파된 것이 나나이어 나단(7)에서 기원하는 나단지이다. 초혼식의 목적은 샤먼의식을 통해 망자의 영혼을 영혼의 거처 파뇨에 안치시켜 조상령으로 승격시키기 위한 것이다. 송혼식은 나나이어로 카사라고 하는데 어원은 알 수 없지만 망자의 영혼을 하계 씨족마을로 전송하는 의식으로 보통 3일 동안 진행되며 하계 씨족마을로 가는 길을 아는 대샤먼 만이 수행할 수 있다. 송혼식은 경제적, 물질적, 정신적으로 가족들에게 과도한 부담이 되기 때문에 거행 시기는 가족의 경제 상황에 따라 사후 1-3년으로 일률적이지 않다. 송혼식을 거행하는 이유는 사후 1-3년 후에도 저승으로 가지 못한 영혼은 악령으로 변하여 가족과 친인척들에게 해를 입힌다는 관념 때문이지만 궁극적으로는 망자의 영혼을 하계에 완전히 통합시켜 조상령으로의 승격 절차를 마무리하기 위한 것이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the nanaj's view of the soul through funeral, soul-calling ritual, ritual of transmission to the underworld of the soul. Funerals for the nanaj are three days long, and the detailed ceremonies vary depending on the social status of the deceased, the cause and place of death, and age. The main ceremonies in a three-day long of the funeral, a hɛriuri ceremony, a lighting ceremony, and a nantara ceremony. The main ceremonies on the first day of the funeral included the ceremonies to confirm death and changing clothes, ǯirkɛnǯi ceremony, nantara kolini ceremony, ɛriuri ceremony, and ceremonies to make ɛriptun and lochako. On the second day, there is no special ceremony. The main ceremonies on the third day include the dressing of the shroud, the inauguration ceremony, the ceremony of taking the body out of the house and the ǯaǯɛrǯanija ceremony, ceremony of carrying the coffin to the grave, ceremony of the burial of the conffin, the homecoming ceremony, and the purification ceremony.
The soul-calling ritual is held on the 7th day of death, excluding the day of the funeral, and the term nadanji was widely used. The purpose of soul-calling ritual is to enshrin the soul of the deceased in panjo, the dwelling place of the soul, through shamanic rituals, that is, to elevate the soul of the deceased to an ancestor spirit.
The ritual of transmission to the underworld of the soul is called casa in Nanai, and although the etymology is unknown, it is a ceremony of transferring the souls of the dead to the under world, usually for 3 days but sometimes for 9 days. The reason for the the ritual of transmission to the underworld of the soul is the idea that souls that do not go to the underworld 1-3 years after death turn into evil spirits and harm their relatives. After the ritual of transmission to the underworld of the soul is he souls of the deceased are completely integrated into the underworld and promoted to ancestor spirits.
