초록

People experience various types of death in real life. But, there are a lot of cases that people put no serious thought on their death, while they just recognize it negatively. As this kind of atmosphere is getting spread out, people have to lead their life faithfully through death education. In particular, as there are many teenager-related issues caused these days, death education for teenagers is considered more important compared with other age groups. However, compared with other countries, death education for teenagers in school education is not well-revitalized in our nation currently.
Therefore, in this paper the invigoration of death education in school education using the Korean language texts is investigated. For this purpose, the motif in death described in the Korean language texts of middle school for the 7th educational program was analyzed in categories of grade, genre, and topic. Also tried to seek the method which is concrete will be able to apply from education field. This study is of great significance in searching for methodologies of death education and items to consider for texts organization afterwards, along with suggestion of problems about death education at the chalkface.
