A Study on the Spatial Design Direction of elderly Facilities Considering Environmental Psychological Elements -With a Primary Focus on Public Elderly Facilities in the Anhui Province in China-

초록

China officially entered the aging society in 1999. Due to the short time, the design of elderly facilities cannot meet the needs of the aging society. Among them, most of China’s public elderly facilities are aimed at the elderly at the bottom of China, which is the most meaningful part of the development of China’s pension undertakings. Most of the existing public elderly facilities only meet the most basic survival needs of the residents, and lack of research on the environmental psychological needs of the elderly, resulting in low satisfaction with the use of public elderly facilities, and elderly facilities lack of attraction among the elderly.
This paper takes the public elderly facilities in Anhui province, China as the main research object, using the concept of environmental psychology, the psychological development of the elderly, and summarizes the suitable environmental psychological elements. Using the actual investigation and analysis of the public elderly facilities in Anhui Province, China, the design direction of the future public elderly facilities in China in the environmental psychological elements is summarized.
Through the previous theoretical research, the needs of the elderly for the psychological elements of the spatial environment under different physiological and psychological changes are analyzed. Secondly, through the field investigation of the public nursing home institutions in Anhui Province, China, the existing problems in the space design of the public elderly facilities in China are analyzed.
In addition, the elderly living in public elderly facilities were used as the questionnaire survey as the survey objects, and data statistical methods were used to rank the degree of environmental psychological needs of the elderly in the emergence stage, and the spatial design principles to meet the psychological needs were put forward for the elderly. This research starts from the psychological needs of the elderly for the environment and pursues improvement in the living environment of elderly care facilities. The theories and elements in the field of environmental psychology are applied to the spatial design of elderly care facilities to meet the needs of the elderly for environmental psychology, so as to provide directivity to the spatial design of elderly care facilities.
