    This study aims to meet the changeable market condition and customers' need and establish the information of usable and systematic color planning for development in design by collecting the colors used in Skiing·Snowboard wear, which is representative winter sports, and analyzing latest trend of colors. This has a view on increase in the number of customers, who are to enjoy sports due to the rise in income and the development of leisure and also the importance of color development of products, which starts from customers' psychology in the emotional times when the possibility of success in products depends on image. As a method, the research of the information of colors used in local brands was conducted. For the reasonable and proper collection of colors, Interfashion planning(240colors), most recognized fashion information project company in local and total 473colors in recent three years in Samsung designnet (233colors). The applied colors were collected in 200 people's sample photographing men (100)'s, women(100)'s clothes in D resort from December 21st to 23rd in 2007. In the method of color analysis, Lab value(L*a*b) was attained by extracting colors through eyedropper in the program of photoshop and the characteristic was analyzed by construction of the distribution chart of colors and distribution chart of color tone, which are to recognize the colors and color tone at a glance. At this time, the distribution chart of colors and color tone were constructed by converting Lab value(L*a*b) into NCS value of color. The frequency of color usage of N(no colors), Y(yellow) line, R(red) line, B(blue) line, G(green) line by being applied to NCS color tone suggested by L. Sivik on the basis of constructed distribution chart of color and color tone. The characteristic of psychology effect of colors was recognized by analyzing the relation of sense of temperature and three properties of colors by distribution chart of colors and color tone. Birren's harmony theory can be applied to the natural color system that suggests the concept of nuance interactively, because it showed the control of brightness and chroma, which are the ones among three properties of color. Therefore the characteristic of color combination was researched by analyzing the combination of colors in line with sexes to the frequency applied to Birren's theory.
    The result of this study is as follows. First, Comparing and analyzing the seasons of Samsung designnet and Interfashion planning by colors according to lines, in S/S season, Y line marked the highest, in F/F season, R line marked the highest. In case of ranking of frequency, B line, G line and N line were equal except for Y line and R line in S/S season and F/W season. Second, as a result of colors of Skiing·Snowboard wear, the color of frequency of men's Skiing·Snowboard wear was in the order of B line, R line, N line, Y line and G line. In case of women, R line was the highest, followed by N line, B line, Y line and G line respectively. In case of men, B line marked the highest but in the conclusive distribution degree, Y line and R line, which are warm colors were higher. Third, in the frequency of applying color combination to Birren's color harmony theory, in case of men, Color-White-Black of color combination of basic colors marked the highest, followed by the color combination of Color-Shade-Black which is color combination close to the S-C axis by a close margin. In case of women, White-Tint-Color color combination close to the W-C axis marked the highest. Among them, the color combination of White and Color was noticeable. Compared to men's case, women's case showed that color combination of White and Color was visible. In contrast, in case of men, the color combination of Black and Color was visible. Fourth, on the base of such result, considering the frequency of analyzed colors, extracting twelve representative colors each men and women according to the frequency of appearance from each colors and color tone sphere, color palette composed of 24 colors was suggested.
    This study investigated the characteristic of colors by researching and analyzing colors and color combination applied to the skiing ·snowboard wear and on the basis of this, the useful information of colors which can meet the detailed customers' sensibility by suggesting representative colors and color palette that can be applied to the practical business was established and also this study was meaningful in that practical color project was established.
