魯西 尹宣擧의 挽詩 硏究 (A Study on Noseo Yoon, Seon-geo's Monody)

초록

본고는 17세기 조선조의 대표적인 유학자인 魯西 尹宣擧(1610~1669)의 만시를 통해 그의 평생 교유관계와 삶과 죽음에 관한 내면의식을 살피고, 아울러 만시에 나타난 문학적인 가치를 고찰하였다.
윤선거는 「노서유고」에 400여 수의 한시를 남기고 있는데, 그 중 사분의 일 가량이 만시작품으로 모두 75제 83수이며 대상자는 74명이다. 그는 다양한 시체를 구사하고 있는데 5․7언의 장편배율과 고시 형식의 만시를 즐겨 썼다. 만시는 망자와 시인의 관계가 저마다 다르기에 내용이 모두 같을 수 없다. 따라서 주제별로 나누어 살펴보았다. ① 傷魂의 정감표출에서는 절친한 친구 시남 유계와 스승의 죽음을 통해 시인의 삶 속에서 망자는 어떠한 존재였는가에 초점을 맞추어 그들의 죽음을 애도하고 문학적으로 형상화했음을 알 수 있었다. ②망자의 죽음을 통해 본 悔過自新에서는 강화도의 일에 얽힌 인물들의 죽음을 통해 지난날의 과오를 반성하고 학문을 통해 새롭게 변하고자 하는 작가 의식이 반영되었음을 볼 수 있었다. ③망자의 恨에 대한 위로와 공감에서는 요절한 삶에서는 학문을 통해 뜻을 이룬 삶이 가치 있었음을 긍정해주고, 수복은 누렸지만 자식이 없어 죽음의 한을 남긴 삶에는 따뜻한 위로와 공감을 아끼지 않는 인간미 넘치는 시인을 발견할 수 있었다. ④윤선거 만시의 가치에서는 다양한 전고와 비유를 통한 함축적이고 상징성이 강한 시적 표현이 돋보였고, 문학가로서의 역량이 만시를 통해 잘 발현되었음을 확인할 수 있었다.

영어초록

This writing, through the monody written by the representative Confucian scholar, Noseo Yoon, Seon-geo in the 17th century Joseon Dynasty, looked into his social relationships for his life and internal consciousness of life and death, and also considered the literary value revealed in his monody.
Yoon, Seon-geo left about 400 pieces of Chinese poetry in 『Noseo Yugo』(Nose‘s posthumous works), one fourth of which are monody works with 75 subjects and 83 pieces of works on his 74 acquaintances. In these works, Noso was making use of diverse poetic forms and enjoyed writing monodies in the form of long-rhyming poems in 5-eon, or 7-eon(5 Chinese-character phrase, 7 Chinese-character phrase) and ancient poetry. Monody cannot have the same contents because the relationships between the deceased and a poet are different respectively. Accordingly this writing looked into it by subject.
① In the expression of the sentiment of a broken heart, it was found that Noseo felt sorry for their death with focus on what existence was the deceased in a poet's life and embodied it in a literary manner through the death of his alter ego, Sinam Yu-gye and his teacher ② In 'regretting over the past and renewing oneself' seen through the death of the deceased, this writing could see that the writer's consciousness for trying to take a new turn through learning while reflecting on his mistakes in the past through the death of the persons ,who were entangled with Ganghwado affairs, was reflected.
③ Sympathy and consoiation comfort for the regret of the deceased seen through an early death, this writing discovered that the writer was a man full of human touch and affirmed that the life of achieving one's goal was valuable in the life of an early death while never sparing his warm comforting and sympathy in the life of the deceased who enjoyed longevity and happiness but left regret over his/her death because he/she was childless.
④ In the value of Yoon, Seon-geo's monody, this study could confirm that his poetic expression full of connotative meanings with intense symbolism through diverse ancient words and analogies stands out, and the capability as a literary person is properly manifested through his monody.
