유튜브 공간에서 정당의 제22대 총선 이슈 소유권 비교 분석: 이슈 확산 네트워크, 이슈 주목도, 동영상 제목의 정서, 이용자 참여를 중심으로 (A Comparative Analysis of Political Parties’ Issue Ownership in the 22nd General Election on YouTube: Focusing on Issue Diffusion Network, Issue Interest, Headline Sentiment, and User Engagement)

초록

이 연구는 네트워크 분석과 내용분석을 통해 유튜브 공간에서 제22대 총선 이슈의 확산 패턴, 확산의 주체, 뉴스생산자의 정치적 성향, 그리고 이용자 관여 측면에서 여당과 야당이 소유한 이슈 간에 어떤 차이가 있는지를 살폈다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정권 안정 네트워크가 정권 심판 네트워크보다 더 많은 조회 수를 기록했고, 특히 정권 안정 네트워크의 경우 노드 간의 긴밀한 연결을 통해 이슈가 확산된 것을 확인했다. 둘째, 뉴스생산자가 주목한 이슈는 매체 유형에 따라 상이했다. 주류 매체가 정권 안정 이슈를 주로 다룬 반면, 개인 채널과 인터넷 매체는 정권 심판 이슈에 더 주목했다. 셋째, 콘텐츠의 논조 또한 매체 유형에 따라 차이를 보였다. 텔레비전과 라디오는 대체로 중립적이었지만 인터넷 매체와 개인 채널의 논조는 상대적으로 진보적이었다. 넷째, 동영상 제목에 나타난 감성의 경우 야당이 소유한 이슈를 다뤘을 때 더 부정적이었다. 그리고 주류 미디어의 유튜브 동영상 제목과 비교했을 때 인터넷 매체와 개인 채널이 생산한 동영상의 제목이 정치적 반대 세력에 대해 더 부정적이었다. 마지막으로, 이용자 관여 수준(조회 수, 좋아요 수, 댓글 수)은 정권 안정 이슈에서 더 높았다. 이는 조사 시점 당시 유권자들이 정권 안정 이슈에 높은 관심을 보였음을 시사한다. 이 연구는 소셜미디어 공간에서 정당이 소유권을 지닌 정치 이슈들의 확산 과정을 제대로 살피려면 다양한 뉴스생산자의 역할, 정치적 성향이 정당의 이슈 확산에 미치는 영향, 동영상 콘텐츠와 이용자 참여 간의 상호작용을 강조해야 한다고 했다.

영어초록

This research inquired into the propagative trend of main issues between the ruling and opposition parties at social media, the principal agent that propagates it, and the relevancy with the political inclination of the news producer through network and content analyses. The main research results are as follows. First,the network that has favored for the stability of the current administration has shown higher viewership compared to that favored for punishing the administration, and the issues propagated through close connection between the nodes. Second, when comparing the news producers, mass media mainly dealt with issues relevant to the stability of the current administration, while private channels and internet media focused on the matter of punishing the administration. Third, depending on which political faction owns the issue, the political tendency of the news producer also seemed to differ. Television and radio showed neutral political tendency, while internet media and private channels more liberal tendencies. Fourth, the emotional analysis of video headlines manifested negative sentiments toward the problems of the opposition party. While the video headlines of main media maintained neutral political tendency, those of internet media and private channels delivered more negative sentiments towards political opponents. Finally, views, likes, and the number of comments revealed that viewer engagement is higher in issues regarding the stability of administration. Therefore, the result shows that there is a higher interest of voters in the matter of the stability of administration. This research emphasizes the combined influence of interaction between video contents and user engagement, and the roles and political tendencies of diverse news producers at social media on propagating the problems of political parties.
