아리요시 사와코(有吉佐和子) 『복합오염(複合汚染)』의 형식적 변이 (A Study for variation of form focused on "Complex pollution" by Sawako Ariyoshi)

초록

『複合汚染』は、有吉佐和子の社会問題を4扱った、いわゆる「社会派小説」の中の代表作と言われ、新聞連載当時は、特異な小説作法を使用した奇形小説で、環境レポートに過ぎないという酷評もあった。本稿では、破格的な執筆方法(or書法)が真の小説に生まれ変わるためにどのような小説の要素を適用したのか、その意味を把握することが研究の目的である。研究の基準としてノンフィクションとフィクション的な要素に分け、できるだけ客観化して分析しながら、時代をリードした新しい形式の破壊小説という側面から、作家の意図とその効果を考察した。この作品は、科学の専門雑誌に出てくるような専門用語が飛び交う、一般的な小説では排除される要素が存在する。そこで、読者にとって難解な情報を最大限客観的に分かりやすく伝える説明文のような書法を採用し、多くの図表と数字が記載されたデータが登場している。変異とも言える特異性によりこの小説は、奇形小説と命名され、小説として受け入れない評者もいたが、これらは読者を作品の中に引き込もうとする作家の意図であることが把握できた。この研究を通じて、『複合汚染』は、一般の人々の環境意識を鼓吹させた点から、環境文学で記録小説であり、工業化と産業化の副作用に悩まされているすべての国へ環境問題の深刻さを説いたという点では啓発的小説であることを認知することができた。この作品は、作家が主張する中心思想で解体主義を適用した構成、そして作家の意図を忠実に表現した文体まで網羅しているという点から、主題、構成、文体という「小説の3つの要素」を柔軟に反映していると言えよう。著者は、全世界を脅かす環境問題という巨大な社会問題をテーマとして扱っただけに、散在している障害物を加工世界という小説ジャンルの肯定的な要素で克服し、真の小説を誕生させた。作家の統合に近い変形小説の作法は、作品が発表された当時の小説破壊という解釈とは異なり、未来志向の融合の書法であったことを認識することができたという点で、研究の意義があると言える。

영어초록

"Complex pollution" of Sawako Ariyoshi is called as a masterpiece novel of socialconscience novel. But when it was serialized, there were severe criticism that it isan odd writing and just a report on the environment. In this article, I tried to understandwhat kind of elements were applied for a preposterous writing to be a true novel.
As a research criterion, we divide it into non-fiction and fictional elements and examinethem as objectively as possible and examined the intention and effect of the writerin terms of form destruction novel.
This work adopts the explanation notes which are not normally used in the generalnovel, and also the jargons which come out in the scientific journals are rampantand the information which is not known to the reader is conveyed as objectivelyas possible to the utmost, and the data in which many charts and numerical dataare appeared. Because of the peculiarity of these novels, some readers called thiswork the deformed novel and did not accept them as fiction, but I could feel thatthe writer wanted readers to be able to grasp the intention of this work. Throughthis research process, it is recognized that "complex pollution" promotes theenvironmental consciousness to the public. It is environmental literature and recordnovel. It is an enlightenment novel in that it has touched the seriousness ofenvironmental problems in all countries suffering from the side effects ofindustrialization. This work flexibly reflects the three elements of the novel: the theme,composition, and style in that the artist has a main idea, a composition based ondeconstructionism, and a style that perfectly fills the intention of the descriptor.
The peculiar way of writers, which is close to the artist 's integration, wasrecognized as a future - oriented fusion of writing, unlike the interpretation of noveldestruction at the time of the presentation.
