‘동북문예부흥’과 ‘신동북작가군’에 관한 소고(小考) — 솽쉐타오의 ｢평원 위의 모세｣를 중심으로 (A Study on the Phenomenon of ‘Northeast Culture Revival’ and ‘New Northeast Writers Group’: Based on Shuang Xuetao‘s Writing Moses on the Plain)

초록

Northeast literature’ is a very important part of the development of modern and contemporary Chinese literature. In particular, it is noteworthy that from 2019, the so-called “New Northeast Writer Group (新東北作家群)” has emerged as an object of new interest in Chinese literature along with the slogan “Northeast Culture Revival (東北文藝復興)” in the Chinese literary world. The slogan “Northeast Culture Revival” appeared in China and became a social issue in 2019 when rapper Dong Shibao(董寶石, 1986- ) mentioned it by appearing on a talk show web entertainment called “吐槽大會”. Since then, related concepts have emerged one after another while being cited through various media, and “Northeast Culture Revival” has begun to be discovered in researchers’ papers. Focusing on the “Northeast Culture Revival” l that has emerged in the Chinese literary world, this study intends to examine the creation of the ‘New Northeast Writers’ Group’ through Shuang Xuetao’s novel “Moses on the Plain”.
Representative writers considered as “New Northeast Writers’ Group” include Shuang Xuetao (雙雪濤, 1983-), Ban Yu (班宇, 1986-), and Zheng Zhi (鄭執, 1987-). As such, the rise of “New Northeast Writer Group” reflects the changed environment of today’s Chinese literature. After being known to some extent in the paragraph, they are actively using Internet platforms such as Douban(豆瓣) and ONE app as a venue for presenting their works. This shows that their creation is aimed at the younger generation, not at established middle-aged writers and paragraphs. Their success is judged to be strongly influenced by the market and capital rather than literature to some extent, in that the reading experience on the literary platform becomes ‘one-time’ and ‘fast consumption’. Furthermore, these writers are expanding their influence beyond paragraphs to the cultural domain using the Internet and various media. It should be noted that most of their representative works have been made into films.
Shuang Xuetao is the first writer to make his name known in terms of literary achievements and public recognition. “Moses on the Plain” (2015) is his representative work, was adapted into a film in 2021 and remade into a drama in 2023. Based on the true story, the novel takes the form of mystery (嫌疑) that melts the images of the generation of fathers and sons in the background of “Northeast,” and later played a leading role in the emergence of mystery mystery reasoning genres from Northeast backgrounds. In terms of language, the quotation marks were boldly omitted from the text and the conversation was quoted directly in the sentence. In terms of narrative form, each section is given a character’s name as a subtitle, so that they become speakers and tell stories at different times. In particular, Shuang Xuetao is already taking the path of a popular intellectual. He is active in various fields, such as appearing on a cultural entertainment program for CCTV in May 2018 or being named in a humanities documentary. “New Northeast Literature” has established a concrete, emotional and reflective connection channel for Chinese people living in the era of capital through the revolution, and “Northeast” has become a representation of what is changing. It is necessary to follow up the research on the creative works and behaviors of the writers of “New Northeast Writer Group” through continuous research.
