衛滿朝鮮의 鐵器文化 (The Iron-culture of Wiman-Choson)

초록

최근 韓半島 西北地域과 그 以南의 鐵器文化의 成立과 擴散을 둘러싼 論議가 활발히 진행 중이다. 그 중에서 가장 큰 문제가 되는 것은 樂浪郡 設置 이전의 鐵器를 상정할 수 없다는 점이다. 반면 嶺南地域에서는 기원전 2세기대로 편년되는 鐵器가, 방대하게 확보된 土器들의 相對年代를 바탕으로 거론되고 있는 실정이다.
이상의 문제인식을 바탕으로 본고에서는 硏究史 再檢討를 통해 西北韓地域 古墳編年에서 樂浪郡 設置以前의 木槨墓와 鐵器를 상정할 수 없었던 이유를 밝혀내었다. 또한 西北韓地域 墳墓들의 實年代를 紀元前 1세기 이후로 보았던 주요 論者들의 主張과 根據를 體系的으로 檢討하여 西北韓地域 墳墓의 上限이 기원전 1세기대 이후라는 歷年代를 뒷받침하는 根據가 없음을 분명히 하였다. 나아가 貞柏洞 97號와 土城洞 486號 등의 副葬遺物 分析을 통하여 이들이 樂浪郡 設置 以前의 木槨墓이고, 이러한 樂浪郡 設置 以前의 古墳에 다양한 鐵器들이 부장됨을 확인하였다.
결국 韓半島 西南部地域의 鑄造鐵器類 등은 기원전 3세기대 이전 古朝鮮을 媒介로 輸入된 燕系鐵器임이 分明하며, 또한 嶺南地域의 기원전 2세기대 鐵器는 西北韓 地域의 鐵器文化와 통함을 분명히 하였다. 이런 점을 바탕으로 嶺南地域 紀元前 2세기대의 鐵器는 곧 衛滿朝鮮에 유래하는 鐵器라고 할 수 있을 것이다.

영어초록

The formation and diffusion of Iron-culture in northwestern region of Korea and south of it are under active discussion, recently.The biggest problem is that we cannot figure out iron artifacts before the establishment of Nakranggun.On the other hand, Youngnam province is mentioned to have had it’s period of ironware in the second century B.C based on the relative chronology of potteries which are procured vastly.
Recognizing the matters above, this thesis has found the reason we could not suppose Wooden Chamber Tombs and ironware before the establishment of Nakranggun in the chronicle of tumuli of northwestern region of Korea through analyzing history of research.And the present writer made it clear that the absolute date, which means the upper limit of tumuli in northwestern region of Korea is the second century B.C, has no evidence to support itself by reviewing the opinions and bases of disputants who supposed that the calendar date of tumuli in northwestern part of Korea had been after the first century B.C, systematically. And the present writer made it clear that the absolute date, which means the supremum(the upper limit) of tumuli in northwestern region of Korea is the second century B.C, has no evidence to support itself by reviewing the opinions and bases of disputants who supposed that the calendar date of tumuli in northwestern part of Korea had been after the first century B.C, systematically. Moreover, this writer has confirmed that No.97 of Jeongbaek-dong and No.486 of Toseong-dong are wooden coffin graves before the foundation of Nakranggun and that a variety of iron artifacts were buried in tumuli before the foundation of Nakranggun In conclusion, it is evident that cast iron artifacts etc. in southwestern area of Korea are Iron artifacts derived from Yenwhich were imported through the medium of Gochoson. And iron artifacts in Youngnam province of the second century B.C have something in common with Ironware culture of northwestern part of Korea.Ironware artifacts in Youngnam province of the second century B.C should be considered to be that of Wiman-Choson, based on the aspects above.
