텍스트 마이닝을 통한 한중 웹소설 플랫폼 비교 분석 (Comparative Analysis of Web Novel Platforms in Korea and China through Text Mining)

초록

· 연구 주제: 정량적인 데이터 분석을 통해 한중 웹소설 플랫폼을 비교 분석하였다.
· 연구 배경: 한중 양국에서 폭발적으로 성장하고 있는 웹소설 시장은 산업 규모에 비해 상호 시장 진출을 위한 상세한 연구 및 전략 제안이 거의 전무하므로 한중 웹소설 플랫폼을 비교 분석하여 양국 웹소설 교류를 위한 초석을 마련하고자 하였다.
· 선행연구와의 차이점: 한중 양국의 웹소설과 웹소설 플랫폼의 특징을 비교하기 위해 플랫폼에서 제공하는 웹소설 정보를 수집·분석하여 국가별, 플랫폼별 특징을 확인했다.
· 연구방법: 한중 웹소설 플랫폼 사이트 10개의 베스트셀러 작품을 연구대상으로 삼아 유료 판매 랭킹 중 작품 제목, 작가, 장르, 작품 설명 데이터를 수집해 형태소 분석과 Word2vec 분석을 진행했다.
· 연구결과: 한중 모두 판타지 장르와 관련된 어휘가 다수 등장했고 한국은 로맨스, 중국은 무협 관련 어휘가 고빈도로 나타났다. 상대빈도가 가장 높은 ‘남자’와 ‘세계’의 Word2Vec 분석 결과 ‘세계’는 한·중 모두 판타지 장르의 특징을 나타내는 어휘와 연관성이 높았다. ‘남자’의 경우 한국에서는 로맨스 장르와 연관성이 높은 반면 중국에서는 선협·무협과 로맨스 두 장르의 특징이 모두 나타났다. 플랫폼별 분석 결과 한국은 시대 판타지·게임 판타지·순수 판타지적 요소가, 중국은 무협 및 로맨스 관련 요소가 두드러졌다.
· 공헌점 및 기대효과: 비교 분석한 내용을 바탕으로 한중 상호 문화교류 촉진을 위한 웹소설 경향성, 번역 데이터, 플랫폼 특성 및 운영에 관한 정보 등을 공유하는 한중 웹소설 정보 공유 허브 구축 전략을 제시했다.

영어초록

· Research topics: Based on quantitative data analysis, the Korean-Chinese web novel platform was compared and analyzed.
· Research background: This study focused on the fact that there are almost no detailed researches and strategic proposals for entering the mutual market compared to the explosive growth of the web novel industry in both Korea and China, and tried to prepare a strategy for web novel exchange through quantitative data analysis.
· Differences from prior research: In order to compare the characteristics of web novels and web novel platforms in Korea and China, the information provided by the platform was collected and analyzed to confirm the characteristics of each country and platform.
· Research method: Best-selling works of ten Korea-China web novel platform sites were studied and analyzed by collecting the title, writer, genre, and explanatory data of each one of them.
· Research results: As a result of morpheme analysis, fantasy related words appear a lot in both Korea and China, while only in Korea romance related words, only in China martial arts related words appear highly frequently. As a result of a Word2Vec analysis focusing on “World(세계/世界)” and “Men(남자/男)”, which have the highest relative frequency, “World” was highly related to vocabulary that represents the characteristics of fantasy genres in both Korea and China. In the case of “Men”, it was highly related to the romance genre in Korea, while in China, it showed the characteristics of both genres, immortal mortality, martial arts, and romance. As a result of the analysis by the platforms, in Korean, epochal elements of fantasy, game elements of fantasy, and pure elements of fantasy are prominent, and in China, martial arts and romance-related elements are clearly distinguished.
· Contribution points and expected effects: Based on the comparative analysis, it is possible to propose the establishment of a Korea-China web novel information sharing hub that shares information on web novel trends, translation data, platform characteristics, and operation to promote mutual cultural exchanges between Korea and China.
