新羅 元聖王의 王位繼承과 國人 (The Succession to the Throne of King Wonseong and Kukin(國人) in the Silla Dynasty)

초록

In spite of carrying out a lot of research on accession to the throne about King Wonseong in the mean time, there are still many of the explanations about that. In this piece of writing, examining historical materials synthetically, I again rearranged on accession to the throne.
Specially, records of Sinjungdonggugyojisungram(新增東國輿地勝覽) and Myeongju King's tombstone(溟洲郡王神道碑文) accepted seriously assuming criticism of historical material.
Rain in progress of accession to the throne was accepted as a fact through examining many historical materials overall, and it is clear that rain is one of causes blocking accession to the throne. Through a doctrine of Jeongwuitaehu(貞懿太后), in ifetime a throne successor of King Seondeok presumed Kim Ju-won.
In Sinjungdonggugyojisungram(新增東國輿地勝覽), expressions that Kim Ju-won had already acceded to the throne were not proper, and it is confirmed that Chingjae(稱制) may be an error of calling emperor(稱帝).
Also, analyzing the accession to the throne of "King of Wonseong", remarked the movement of Kukin(國人). Kukin(國人) recommending King Wonseong, including all vassals, found themselves the rulings in a wide meaning. They finally involved with both supporters such as Kim Ju-won, Kim Gyeong-shin. The recommendation as the king by Kukin(國人) is made up of agreement of Kukin(國人). That didn't make up only one sided power. In accession to the throne of King Wonseong, the decision that is recommending Kim Gyeong-shin means that so-called carrying resolution unanimously must be the agreement between Kukin(國人).
Usurpation, a one-sided act of one's own faction using military power, should be distinguished from the recommendation as the king by agreement. In accession to the throne of King Wonseong, there is a little power but isn't an armed clash. therefore, this is a procedure of the recommendation as the king, not an usurpation by military force.
The recommendation as the king by Kukin(國人) happened as the royal authority weakened, hence, the power of could restrain the royal authority or the power of the royal family.
