유치원의 공간구성 특성과 학부모 만족도와의 상관관계 연구 - 중국 사립 유치원 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Correlation between Spatial Composition characteristics and Parents' Satisfaction in Kindergartens - Focused on the case of private kindergarten in China -)

초록

(연구배경 및 목적) 최근 중국의 젊은 학부모들의 교육 수준이 높아지고 유아교육에 대한 관심이 고조되는 가운데 공립유치원의 모집인원 제한으로 인하여 많은 수의 학부모가 적령기 유아교육을 위해 자녀들을 사립유치원으로 보내고 있다. 그러나 사립유치원은 관리와 질적 측면에서 양극화 문제가 나타나고 있으며 그중에서도 학부모가 가장 먼저 직관적으로 판단할 수 있는 부분은 사립유치원의 실내 공간 환경으로 그 좋고 나쁨을 직접 인식할 수 있어 이에 대한 실내 공간 환경의 개선을 요구할 수 있다. 따라서 유아교육의 소비자인 학부모에게 고객 만족도에 관한 연구 및 이론을 적용하여 학부모가 만족할 수 있도록 더 많은 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 실증분석을 통해 사립유치원의 공간구성 특성과 학부모 만족도와의 상관관계 및 중요도를 파악하고 사립유치원의 유아 발달과 학부모 만족도 향상에 적합한 공간디자인 방안을 제시하고자 한다. (연구 방법) 첫째, 이론 고찰을 통해 사립유치원의 공간구성과 학부모 만족도에 관한 개념을 이해하고 선행연구에 따라 사립유치원의 공간구성특성을 도출하였다. 둘째, 선행 연구를 기반으로 연구 구조 및 모델 구축을 수행하고 관련 변수의 영향 관계에 대한 가설을 설정하였다. 또한 2022년 사립유치원 순위 집계 데이터를 통해 대표적인 사립유치원 5곳의 사례를 선정하여 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 셋째, 설문조사 결과 분석을 위해 SPSS 26.0 통계 프로그램과 AMOS 26.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 신뢰도 요인분석, 설문지 및 연구 모델의 과학적 유효성을 테스트한 후 구조 방정식 모델을 통해 회귀 분석을 진행하여 가설을 검정하였다. 마지막으로 연구 모델의 적합성을 검증하고 변수 간의 상호 영향 관계를 분석하여 연구 결과를 도출하였다. (결과) 사립유치원 5 곳의 사례를 종합, 분석한 결과‘안전성’,‘쾌적성’,‘심미성’,‘융통성’,‘편의성’,‘자존성’은 모두 학부모 만족도에유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으며 그중,‘안전성’,‘편의성’,‘심미성’은 중요도가 높은 반면, 학부모 만족도에 대한‘이동성’의 영향 관계는 부(-)의 결과로 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 사립유치원의 공간구성 특성 대부분이 학부모 만족도에 기여한다는 가설이 검증되었다. (결론) 분석 결과 사립유치원의 공간구성 특성의 중요도는‘안전성’>‘편의성’>‘심미성’>‘융통성’ >‘자존성’ >‘쾌적성’>‘이동성’순으로 나타났으며 특히‘안전성’,‘편의성’,‘심미성’은 학부모의만족도를 높이는 데 매우 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 사립유치원의 공간 환경 설계에서 중점을 두어야 하는 중요한특성임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 응답자 의견 피드백을 통해서‘이동성’이 학부모의 만족도에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 이유는 학부모가 장기적인 학습 환경과 생활환경에 더 많은 관심을 기울인다는 점으로 파악할 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구를 바탕으로 사립유치원의 실내외 구성, 유아 특성과 학부모 수요 등에 관한 요인을 보다 상세하고 심도 있게 분석하며 사립유치원의 영역에 포함된구체적인 공간 유형을 확장하여 사립유치원의 실내 공간 환경 구축에 대한 보다 포괄적인 정보를 제공해야 할 것이다.

영어초록

(Background and Purpose) Recently, with the rising education levels among young parents in China and increasing interest in early childhood education, many parents are sending their preschool-aged children to private kindergartens due to restrictions on enrollment in public kindergartens. However, private kindergartens face polarization issues in management and quality, with the indoor spatial environment being a critical aspect that parents directly perceive and often demand improvements in. Therefore, there should be more efforts focused on satisfying parents, who are consumers of early childhood education, by applying research and theories on customer satisfaction. This study aims to empirically analyze the correlation and importance between the spatial configuration characteristics of private kindergartens and parental satisfaction, proposing spatial design strategies conducive to both child development and parental satisfaction enhancement.
(Method) Firstly aimed to understand the concepts of spatial configuration in private kindergartens and parental satisfaction through theoretical review, and derived the spatial configuration characteristics of private kindergartens based on previous research. Secondly, building upon prior studies, it performed the construction of a research framework and model and established hypotheses regarding the relationships among relevant variables. Additionally, it conducted an online survey by selecting five representative private kindergartens based on the 2022 ranking data of private kindergartens. Thirdly, for the analysis of survey results, the study utilized SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 statistical software to conduct reliability factor analysis, test the scientific validity of the questionnaire and research model, and conducted regression analysis using structural equation modeling to test the hypotheses. Finally, it validated the suitability of the research model, analyzed the interrelationships among variables, and derived research findings. (Results) It was confirmed that 'Safety', 'Comfort', 'Flexible', 'Convenience', 'Self-preservation', and 'Aestheticnature', which are the spatial composition characteristics of private kindergartens, all positively affect parent satisfaction, while 'Mobility' does not have a clear effect on parent satisfaction. Accordingly, some hypotheses were adopted that the spatial component of private kindergartens had a positive effect on parental satisfaction. (Conclusions) The importance of the space composition characteristics of private kindergartens can be seen in the ranking of 'Safety'> 'Convenience'> 'Aestheticnature'> 'Flexible'> 'Self-preservation'> 'Comfort'> 'Mobility'. In addition, 'Safety', 'Convenience', and 'Aestheticnature' have a positive effect on increasing parental satisfaction and are factors that should be focused on the environmental design of private kindergartens. The reason why 'Mobility' does not significantly affect parents' satisfaction through feedback on respondents' opinions was estimated to be related to parents paying more attention to the long-term learning environment and living environment of the indoor environment. Therefore, it will be necessary to provide more comprehensive information on the construction of the indoor environment of private kindergartens by considering the effects of various levels of factors on parent satisfaction in future indoor environment studies of private kindergartens.
