풍물굿의 새로운 전망설정에 필요한 논의 (The Argument for establishing the new perspective about Pungmul-Kut －In the places on the spot－)

초록

2010년대 풍물굿 현황은 학문이나 연구영역에서는 활성화가 이뤄지고 있으나 정작 풍물굿의 현장은 고사위기를 절감할 정도로 열악한 상황이 심화되는 양극화현상이라고 진단하였다. 이런 부조화를 극복하기 위해서는 현장을 적극 살리려는 노력이 절실하다고 판단하였다. 현장 활성화에 대한 관심과 그 대안 제시는 학문의 입장에서도 유익한 작업이라는 점을 강조하면서 현장 활성화 차원에서 논의를 전개하였다.
그간 풍물굿 현장의 주요한 축이었던 풍물굿운동 진영에서는 현 단계 풍물굿 현황에 대해 ‘제2의 풍물굿 재생기’라고 진단하고 있다. 이를 구현하기 위한 방안으로 굿성에 대한 재음미, 그리고 굿성의 시대정신과 그 실천에의 적극 동참을 제기하고 있다. 굿이 갖고 있는 본질적인 속성과 가치를 재음미하는 것이고, 제1차 풍물굿 재생기를 통해 획득한 성과를 적극 발현시켜나가자는 제안인 것이다.
공연예술로서의 풍물굿에 대한 새로운 전망은 신화와 설화 등 대중성과 국제성, 그리고 보편성을 획득할 수 있는 서사구조의 도입, 삶 속으로 스며들려는 예술활동과 그 작품 경향성에서 찾을 수 있었다. 언어와 국가와 장르의 벽을 과감하게 파괴시키려는 노력은 굿이 갖고 있는 종합성과 보편성과 다름없었다.

영어초록

About the condition of Pungmul-Kut in 2010s, the academic studies about it are doing very actively. But the performance of Pungmul-Kut reduced so rapidly that very difficult situation is continued as if Pungmul-Kut is on the verge of extinction. To overcome this ironic situation, we should effort to revive the real performance for Punmul-Kut on the spot in everyday life. The attempt to vitalize Pungmul-Kut and find alternative ways is also very useful for academic fields. To emphasize this point, we focus on dynamic attempts to build new atmosphere for Pungmul-Kut on the spot in this thesis.
On the part of social movement for Pungmul-Kut, the condition of Pungmul-Kut these days is defined as ‘the second renaissance’. In order to realize this slogan, they suggest to reexamine about Kut-Seong(the spirit of Kut) and to actively participate in fulfilling the spirit of the times for Pungmul-Kut. In other words, we should develop the achievements of ‘the first renaissance of Pungmul-Kut’ and review the nature of Kut and its values for our days.
As the performing art, there is the new approach for Pungmul-Kut. The adoption of the narrative system increases popularity, internationality, and universality of Pungmul-Kut. Also some of the performers are making art activities and works with Pungmul to permeate its characteristic into everyday life. The attempt to jump over barriers of different nations and genres is similar with universality and integration of Kut.
In developing the way of children’s game, the notion about Jangdan based with Ki and breath is noticeable. In this view, the understanding about Jangdan makes us expect to build new definition about Kut-nori(the play activities using characteristic of Kut) and reestablish philosophy and aesthetics for Kut. The nori for children also could be applied to adults for healing effects. The impacts of these activities could spread in a large extent as scales of planning and capital strength.
Especially it has much potentiality in the realm of healing mind and body.
Reevaluating about Kut-Jang-yi and establishing connection with small communities which is the place for Kut-Jang-yi in everyday life are efficient ways for realizing all of these possibilities.
