국외 크루즈 선박용 인테리어 난연 섬유제품디자인 사례 연구 (A Case Study on Interior Textile Product Design Using Fireproof Fiber for Foreign Cruise Ships)

초록

경제 성장에 따른 소득의 증가와 사회구조의 변화에 따라 여가생활이 중요시 되면서, 고급 유람여행인 크루즈(Cruise)에 대한 관심이 점차 증대 되고 있다. 현재 한국은 세계 1위의 조선강국으로 불리고 있지만 크루즈 선박건조에서는 미국, 유럽 등에 밀려 기술력은 조금 뒤처지는 편이다. 특히 크루즈 선박용 인테리어 난연 섬유제품은 국제시장 진출이 거의 없는 실정이며, 최근 관련분야의 개발이 시급한 상태이다. 따라서 본 논문은 활성화 되어있는 국외 크루즈 선박용 인테리어 난연 섬유제품디자인을 분석하고, 그것을 통하여 국제사회에서 경쟁력을 가질 수 있는 고부가가치 디자인개발에 도움이 되고자 한다. 연구 범위는 현재 운항중인 높은 수준의 국외 크루즈사로 한정하였다. 연구방법으로는 선행연구로 논문, 관련서적 및 인터넷자료를 참조하여 크루즈의 이론적 배경을 살펴보고, 국내외 크루즈의 현황을 알아보았으며, 크루즈 선박용 인테리어 난연 섬유제품의 특징 및 현황을 분석하였다. 또한 국외 크루즈의 세 가지 등급인 스텐다드(Standard)급, 프리미엄(Premium)급, 럭셔리(Luxury)급으로 분류하여, 등급별로 대표적 크루즈사를 두개씩 선정하고, 객실부와 공용부의 인테리어 난연 섬유제품디자인의 현황을 조형적 특성으로 상세히 분석하여 정리하였다. 그 결과를 다음과 같이 도출하였다. 첫째, 스텐다드급 크루즈사의 인테리어 난연 섬유제품디자인은 편안함과 캐주얼함을 제공하기위해 네츄럴모던이나 캐쥬얼모던을 컨셉으로하여 경쾌한 모티브와 밝은 컬러, 튼튼한 소재를 주로 사용하였다. 둘째, 프리미엄급 크루즈사의 인테리어 난연 섬유제품디자인에서는 고급스러움을 강조하는 모던한 스타일과 엘레강스 컨셉이 주로 나타나며, 부드럽고 안정감 있는 컬러와 소재, 디자인이 요구됨을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 럭셔리급 크루즈사의 인테리어 난연 섬유제품의 디자인은 오리엔탈무드 컨셉과 컨템퍼러리 클래식 컨셉 등 개성 있고 강한 컨셉들이 고급실크소재와 잘 어우러져 최고급 크루즈사의 특별함을 느낄 수 있었다. 세계적 수준의 국외 크루즈사의 인테리어 난연 섬유제품디자인을 등급별로 분석한 결과, 기능적·심미적 요소를 감안하여 선사별 타겟과 컨셉에 맞는 특성화된 디자인 개발되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 크루즈 선박용 인테리어 난연 섬유제품 분야는 향후 개발과 투자가 가속화될 고부가가치 미래 산업으로 국제사회에서의 경쟁력을 확보하기위해 고급스럽고 독창적인 디자인의 개발이 시급하며, 본 연구가 향후 디자인 시 참고자료로 활용되기를 바란다.

영어초록

Leisure life became more important for people as social structure has changed and incomes have increased by development of economy. As one of the leisure activities, a cruise travel also gets more attentions. Although Korea is known as the world’s top shipbuilding country, its cruise building techno logies and skills are behind other countries from Europe and the U.S. Flame retardant textile products for cruise ships from Korea hardly advanced to the international market and it became urgent to develop those products and related industries. Thus, overseas retardant textile products for cruise ships will be analyzed in this study to help the development of high value added designs of those products which will bring the country competitiveness in the international society. The scope of the study is limited to overseas luxurious cruise companies. Previous researches, literature, related books, and internet searched materials were referred to search a theoretical background of cruise ships and the current status of cruise ships from Korea and abroad. Characteristics and the current conditions of flame retardant textile products for cruise ships were also analyzed. The companies were divided into Standard, Premium, and Luxury levels according to the standard of cruise ships and two companies for each level were selected. For detailed analysis of the products, a cruise’s structure was also divided into a passenger and common room. The results are as follows. First, the concepts of natural modern or casual modern were applied to flame retardant textile products for interior designs of standard level cruises along with bright colors and strong materials to offer passengers comfortable and casual atmosphere. Second, a modern style that emphasizes a luxurious atmosphere and elegance concept were shown for premium level cruise ships along with soft and comfortable colors, materials, and designs. Third, unique and strong concepts such as oriental or contemporary classic Concepts were in harmony with luxurious silk materials for luxury level cruise ships which allow passengers feel their special atmosphere. As a result of the analysis of the flame retardant textile designs in the world’s famous overseas cruise ships by their levels, it was found that designs that considered cruises’ functional and esthetic factors along with their target customers and concepts have been developed. The industry of flame retardant textile designs for cruise ships is a high value added industry which will accelerate its development and investments. In order to secure the competitiveness in the international society, it is urgent to develop luxurious and creative designs of those products. It is expected that this study can offer some of ideas when designing new textile designs in the future.
