한글 음절표 의미와 교육용 유형 설정 (Composition for Hangeul Education and Significance of Hangeul Syllable Table)

초록

The Korean syllable table symbolized by “가갸거겨고교그기(gagyageogyeogogyogeugi)” is an important text in that it very clearly reveals the characteristics and usefulness of Korean letters. Even though this Korean syllable table can be produced in many forms due to the scientific and multiple nature of Korean, it is unfortunate that currently, the syllable table is used only in one to two of its forms. Even so, there is a problem of only the traditional “아야어여(ayaeoyeo)” style Korean syllable table being used too much. In order to overcome this problem, various syllable tables were composed and their significances were highlighted from various perspectives. A total of 15 methods were proposed in this paper and they are presented in the syllabic tables as follows :

1) Traditional basic method(Choisejin method), types 1 and 2
2) Haeryeobon(Sejong method) method, types 3, 4, 5, and 6
3) Particular vowel method, types 7, 8, 9
4) Vowel first method(Ryumangeun), types 10, 11
5) Total syllable method(Gongbyeongu method), types 12, 13, 14, 15

The above Hangeul syllabic tables proves that Korean alphabets are creative, scientific, graphic and rhythmical.
