人骨 出土 事例로 본 7世紀 後半 遼寧省 瀋陽ㆍ撫順地域 古墳 造成 主體의 再認識 (A Re-acquaintance of the principal agent constructed of the ancient tombs in Shenyang and Fushun, Liaoning Province From case in late 7th century of Excavation of human bones)

초록

遼寧省 瀋陽ㆍ撫順 일대에 조성된 고분(군)에서는 다른 지역에 비해 단위 유구에서 인골의 출토 사례가 상대적으로 풍부하여서 고구려-발해 고분의 매장프로세스를 추론하는 데 큰 참고가 된다. 그러나 현재까지의연구 동향은 고분 조성 주체의 국적 귀속 여부 자체에 관심이 집중되었고, 인골의 출토 상태를 통한 매장프로세스 검토와 이를 염두에 둔 역사ㆍ고고학적 해석으로 확장되지는 않았다.
고고학적 관점에서 瀋陽ㆍ撫順 일대의 고분에서는 복수의 피장자가 해부학적 연속성이 유지되거나 집골되며 지속적인 추가장이 이루어진다. 이는 고구려 후기의 일부 고분에서도 확인되는 횡혈계 묘제의 보편적 현상이다. 공반 유물인 토기ㆍ이식ㆍ대장식구 등의 연대는 대체로 7세기 후반을 전후한 시점에 집중된다.
문헌자료로 본다면 고구려 멸망 이후 안동도호부가 설치되어 당의 기미지배가 관철된다. 특히 유민들의기미지배 참여 기사와 묘지명 등의 자료로 보듯이 일부 유민들은 고구려의 故地에서 기미지배에 편승하는 양상도 확인된다.
따라서 복수의 인골이 출토되는 고분의 조성, 추가장 시점과 당시의 역사적 정황을 고려할 때, 瀋陽ㆍ撫順 일대의 고분 조성 주체를 반드시 고구려 혹은 발해로 규정하려는 시도는 무의미하다. 오히려 고구려 멸망 이후 안동도호부의 기미지배 하에서 벌어진 유민들의 포섭과 저항이 공존하는 전환기의 관점에서 접근한다면좀 더 구체적이고 복합적인 역사상을 복원할 수 있다는 데 주목할 필요가 있다.

영어초록

As more tombs with human bones have been excavated from features across Shenyang and Fushun, Liaoning, than in other regions, these tombs serve as an important reference for inferring the burial process of Goguryeo and Balhae tombs. However, previous studies have focused on the countries to which those who built the tombs belong without undertaking a review of the burial process and the historical and archaeological interpretation with this process in mind.
From an archaeological perspective, there is anatomical continuity in the multiple buried bodies or their human bones that have been collected, together with continuous additional burials in the tombs across Shenyang and Fushun. This is a common phenomenon observed in lateral entrance tombs, which are also found in some of the tombs from the late Goguryeo period. Earthenware, earrings, and belt ornaments excavated together in these tombs generally date back to the late 7th century.
According to the literature, the Protectorate General to Andong Protectorate was established after the fall of Goguryeo, and the Tang dynasty’s control was dominant under the Jimi system. In particular, as evidenced by articles and epitaphs indicating their participation in the Jimi system, some residents of the regions once ruled by Goguryeo were in favor of the Jimi system.
Therefore, considering the construction of tombs with multiple human bones that have been excavated, the timing of additional burials, and the historical context of this period, it would not be meaningful to attempt to identify the builders of these tombs across Shenyang and Fushun as necessarily being from Goguryeo or Balhae. Conversely, it is worth noting that it would be possible to restore a more specific and complex historical context if these tombs are approached and viewed as part of the transitional period in which subjugation and resistance among residents coexisted under the Jimi system of the Andong Protectorate after the fall of Goguryeo.
