초록

Hairstyle has changed as our lifestyle changes over several generations.
Therefore, transformation of hairstyle is great evidence that shows cultural and artistic values involved in historical events.
I have studied diverse hairstyles in the period of the Three States from Korean History: Kokuryo, Bakjae, and Sinla. I also studied hairstyle in the history of China since Chinese history and Korean history are closely related. I used a Korean historical drama called 'Seodongyo' as my research tool to discover the three essential elements that make up the fusion hairstyle. Having researched on several hairstyles from earlier generation to modern times, I have concluded that those elements that make up the fusion hairstyle did not occur suddenly. There are gradual changes that have developed the transformation of hairstyle so that different hairstyles could fit into different circumstances, and could play within historical events. Hence, I will propose a new design that is a product of essential elements of fusion effecting modernism.
