왜 ‘즉흥’인가: 창의 융합시대에 부상한 즉흥기제의 의미와 가치 (Why 'Improvisation' Matters?: Meaning and Value of the Improvisation Emerged in the Age of Creativity and Convergence)

As the global identity of World society becomes more evident, the atmosphere is changing. "Why suddenly improvisation matters?" We are paying attention to, discussing and implementing the concept of improvisation in academic activities, educational field, and various social fields. The improvisation is the interest of the 21st century. Then, it is inevitable for our scholars to trace how the improvisation has historically been compared with the phenomenon of the past, and to trace the breakthrough moment and process of its transition, its justification, meaning and value. Now, it also makes us all realize that it is the premise that they will start to respond at their points and points This article first asks why improvisation has emerged in the 21st century, and what new meaning does improvisation in the 21st century have. There are enough research works now of seeking, defining, analyzing its conceptual constructs and finding a methodology for us to map the current status of its new reality. In this article, I will look at the research on 21st Century improvisation by dividing it into two branches, one is the flow of improvisation that developed in traditional art genres and the other is the flow of viewing it as the new methodological tool for much discussed creativity as the 21st century skill. It was expected to apply to not only in the various organizations and societal sectors but also in human life. Ultimately, this paper emphasizes that we need to reexamine and diagnose our improvisation practice and site and to promote its activation by explaining orientation of 21st century improvisation research as an emergent development of activities through interdisciplinary and integrated approaches.
