新羅 王京 中心區域 儀禮關聯 建築群에 대한 검토- 최근 禮制建築에 대한 認識을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Ceremony-related Building Group of Core Districts in the Royal Capital of Silla -Focusing on the Recent Recognition of Ceremonial Buildings-)

초록

7세기 후반이 되면 기존의 가로구획으로 정비된 왕경 중심 구역 외에도 북천쪽으로 새로운 계획을 바탕으로 가로구획이 확장되기 시작한다. 확장된 곳에는 그곳의 랜드마크가 되는 대형 건축물들이 국가의 주도아래 새롭게 조영된다. 같은 시기 가로구획정비가 완료된 기존의 왕경 중심 구역에도 변화가 생기기 시작한다. 새롭게 들어선 권위건축물에 의해 방과 방이 통합되기도 하고 도로가 폐기되기도 한다. 한편으로는 기존에 존재하였던 건축물도 여건의 변화에 따라 새롭게 중건을 통해 확장되기도 한다.
이들 권위건축물은 단순한 주거용 공간이 아니었으며 그곳에서 다양한 의례행위가 이루어지던 의례공간이자 광의의 예제건축이라고 할 수 있다. 이들 건축물 중 예제건축의 범위를 축소하여 중국의 유교와 관련된 宗廟, 社稷, 明堂, 辟雍, 太學, 圜丘, 方壇, 靈臺 등으로 한정하여 이해한다면, 예제건축이 수용되었다는 것은 당시 국가와 사회의 기본구조가 변화하였음을 의미하는 것이기도 하다.
이러한 의미에서 최근 들어 7세기 후반의 신라에서도 神宮, 宗廟, 明堂 등 예제건축을 확인하고자 하는 연구가 늘어나고 있다는 점은 매우 고무적이다. 이들 중에는 기존의 의례공간이 유교의 영향으로 새롭게 변화하기도 하였다고 보기도 하였다. 그러나 이러한 시도는 보다 많은 논증이 필요하지 않을까 한다. 자칫하면 다른 의미를 가지고 있는 의례공간을 특정한 예제건축으로 속단할 수도 있기 때문이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이러한 시도는 기존의 고고학적 연구가 가지기 쉬운 몰역사적 인식을 변화시켜 줄 수 있는 계기가 되기 때문에 지속적으로 이루어질 필요가 있다.

영어초록

In the latter half of the 7th century, in addition to the Royal Capital core districts arranged by the existing road re-adjustments, the road re-adjustments based on new plans begin to be extended toward the North River. At the extended place, large buildings as its land mark are constructed newly under the leadership of the nation. At the same time, the Royal Capital core districts arranged by the existing road re-adjustments also begins to change. Bang sections are integrated by newly constructed authoritative buildings or roads are abandoned. On the other hand, the existing buildings are also extended through new reconstructions according to the change of circumstances.
In the major districts of Royal Capital, ceremonial buildings as ceremonial spaces were constructed. Roads connected these buildings into one. By the middle period of Silla dynasty, the entire Royal Capital was transformed into the field of national ceremony.
However, it needs more considerations how deeply these ceremonial buildings were related to the ceremonies arranged in the period of Tang Dynasty entered newly. That is, if the scope of ceremonial buildings is reduced and ceremonial buildings are limited to Jong Myo, Sa Jik, Myeong Dang, Byeok Ong, Tae Hak, Hwan Gu, Bang Dan, and Yeong Dae which are related to the Confucianism of China, the focus of discussion becomes changed slightly. Accepting these ceremonial buildings also means that the then basic structure of nation and society was changed.
In this meaning, it is very encouraging that increasingly many recent studies have tried to ascertain ceremonial buildings including Sin Gung, Jong Myo, and Myeong Dang even in the latter half of the 7th century in Silla. Some of these studies argue that the existing ceremonial spaces were also transformed newly by the influence of Confucianism. However, such studies need more verifications, because the ceremonial spaces having different meanings can be hastily regarded as particular ceremonial buildings. Nevertheless, such studies should be performed continuously because they can change the ahistoric recognition which the existing archeological studies are liable to have.
