王禹偁의 『莊子』 제재 律賦 創作 小考 (A Study on the creations of Lüfu(律賦) Which Wang Yucheng(王禹偁) took from Zhuangzi(莊子) as a material)

초록

문학사적으로 북송 초기는 科擧制의 試題로써 문인들에게 律賦 창작이 보편화되었던 시기이다. 즉, 율부는 당시의 정치와 아주 밀접한 관계가 있다 하겠다. 하지만 율부는 창작 상 지나친 형식적 구속과 내용의 난해함으로 인해 점점 여러 가지 폐단이 고착화되었다. 그리하여 歐陽修를 중심으로 하여 많은 문인들이 이것에 반대하여 고문을 제창하였고, 또 ‘文賦’라는 새로운 장르가 등장하게 되었다. 율부는 한 시대를 풍미했던 문체이지만 현전하는 작품이 의외로 드물다. 실제로 한국에서는 율부에 관한 연구가 의외로 많이 이뤄지지 않고 있다. 그런 의미에서 송대 시문혁신운동으로 과거의 시제가 전환되기 이전 시기에 주로 창작된 율부는 가치가 있다 하겠다. 북송 초기 율부로 이름을 날렸던 문인으로 田錫과 王禹偁이 있다. 왕우칭은 북송 초기 고문가로서 구양수가 주도한 송대 시문혁신 운동의 선구자이기도 하다. 북송 초기 통치자들은 정치적으로는 유가를 지향하였으나 개인적으로는 黃老 思想에 심취하여 이것을 과거제에 활용하는 모순적인 면이 있었다. 이 시기를 살았던 왕우칭 또한 이런 시기의 풍조에 발맞춰 여러 율부 작품을 창작하였다. 하지만 그는 자신의 율부 작품을 대부분 태워 버리고 일부만 남겨두었다. 특히 그는 평소 유가적인 태도를 견지하면서 강한 정치적, 역사적 면모를 나타냈는데, 폄적 이후 일부 작품에서는 자연과 함께 하고자 하는 도가적인 면모도 나타난다. 그의 많지 않은 율부 작품 중 『莊子』를 제재로 하고 있는 것들을 살펴보면서 왕우칭의 실제 창작과 사상을 좀 더 고찰해보고자 한다. 아울러 북송 초기 사회적 배경과 문학적으로 그동안 의외로 다루지 않았던 율부에 대한 이해를 시도해보고자 한다.

영어초록

In the history of literature, the title and question of Keju (科擧)'s examination was often asked during the early Northern Song era by Emperor. So, during this period, it was became a common tool of literature which creations of Lüfu(律賦) were common among writers. In other words, it can be said that the Lüfu(律賦) is very closely related to the politics of the time. However, due to excessive formal restrictions and difficulty in content, various evils of Lüfu(律賦) have become increasingly fixed. As a result, many writers advocated torture against this trend centering on Ouyang Xiu(歐陽修), and a new genre called 'Wenfu(文賦)' emerged. Lüfu(律賦) is a style that has been famous for an era, but there are surprisingly few works that exist. In fact, there are surprisingly few studies related to the Lüfu(律賦) in Korea. In that sense, Lüfu(律賦) which was created mainly during the period before the style of Keju(科擧) was converted to the Song Dynasty poetry-prose innovation movement is worthwhile. In the early days of the Northern Song Dynasty, there are Tian Xi(田錫) and Wang Yucheng(王禹偁) as writers who made their name as Lüfu(律賦). Wang Yucheng(王禹偁) is a writer who advocated that he should write old writings in the early days of the Northern Song Dynasty, and he is also a pioneer of the Song Dynasty's poetry-prose innovation movement led by Ouyang Xiu(歐陽修). In the early days of the Northern Song Dynasty, the rulers aimed for Confucianism politically, but personally, they were fascinated by Taoism and had a contradictory aspect of using it in the system of Keju(科擧). Wang Yucheng(王禹偁) who lived during this period, also created several Lüfu(律賦) works in line with the trend of this period. However, he burned most of his Lüfu(律賦) works and left only some of them. In particular, he maintained his usual Confucian attitude and showed a strong political and historical aspect, but there are also works that show a Taoist aspect of trying to be with nature after being demoted to the provinces. Although there are few works, I would like to examine the actual creation and ideas of Wang Yucheng(王禹偁) by looking at the works of his Lüfu(律賦) that are based on Zhuangzi(莊子). In addition, I would like to try to understand the social background in the early days of the Northern Song Dynasty through the Lüfu(律賦) which has not been surprisingly dealt with in literature.
